Hi guys, I'm currently driving a Myvi and I feel the stock CD player and speakers are terrible. ><

So my budget is till almost RM2k.
I want bass that goes boom boom but I don't want it to cover the vocal sounds either I want it to be balance, is it possible? Clear vocal sounds and bass.

So the first thing I should change is the Head Unit then a pair of speakers right?

I'm a bit blur with wires and cables.
the wires and cables play a major part in sound?

Like if I had a Pionner HU, I need to use some other better wire/cable to plug or something? or I just use the wires in the box? o.o

why car audio recommendation thread become warzone? lol.

anyway sifus in LYN, im driving a myvi and I want some bass effects. My friend recommended me just to add a subwoofer. since I just want bass.
So its okay? just the sub.

So any reputable, tough, long lasting efficient subwoofer brands?
Thanks.

@iszo

I don't mind sacrificing bootspace wink.gif
and I'm going to take up the last option u advised.
Budget aside, my requirements are quite simple.
I listen to techno, pop, hip-hop, shuffle, hardstyle when I'm driving fast.
I don't need overly sicko bass actually, like whole window is moving/vibrating.
Just need bass to thomp thomp a bit. Songs like a G6 can't feel with stock player -.- like using ur finger knocking on a piece of plank. lol.
So yeah, thats my requirement. sorta. biggrin.gif

I have a question and that is why some headunits when they have the volume only up to 10 its already very loud? and some until 2x only can achieve those loudness.
Reason is the speakers?

I got question about monoblock amplifiers.
does it work like normal 2chn, 4chn's?
I googled and its like a 1 chn amplifier? mono?

another side question is amplifiers get hot over the time right? will it spoil the undercarriage? since I'm gonna put it under the front passenger seat.
Much Thanks.

okay. actually 2chn amp is sufficient right? cause basically we are just using our best on the front speakers. so a 2 chn is okay right?

okay. so means that our car would have 2 amplifiers then? 1 2chn and another monoblock.
I thought 4chn is more expensive than 2chn's?

Im just in a dilemma whether to go 2chn or 4chn. aish...

So let me get this clear ah.

If I go 4chn it will be the easiest and less hassle way.
If I go 2chn + 2chn will be much more problematic with the wires but get good performance?

Okay, since I'm always driving alone. I shall go with 2chn amp.

Another thing would be, 2chn to power front component set only and another monoblock just to power the subwoofer only? confirm best SQ/SPL?

so I'll be having 2chn amp under passenger seat and monoblock under my seat?

so 2chn and 1 mono amp. okay.
the road of 2chn and 1 mono amp is pricey only la? no more disadvantages hor? and gives the best performance. Hmm. okay.
Thanks Quazacolt and krayden.

btw. those cable cable thing plays a part also? can't just use the default ones?

Thank you Quazacolt. So when looking at the head unit.
What are the essentials to look for first other than aesthetic's?
Regardless of brand first. biggrin.gif
