Hi Zennn & ckmoy007,

Remember me that asking both of your espertise opinion towards setting up a SQ audio for my satria? Well, as a start and based to budget constriant I have just installed a pair of 6" Alpine sps-17c2 with 50rms to the back of my satria rear seat side panel. The sound is truly clear and amazing comparing to the original stock standard speakers.

Are this Alpine model good for my next month front component SQ setup project? I've thought of going for UK brand ROGERS 6" component setup to the front of my satria. Is Rogers a good SQ brand to go for w/o amp? My dream SQ setup is w/o amp or subwoofer. Maybe, in the future I am install an active subwoofer under the seat. Is this a good idea? Please share.

rogers is UK brand but made in china, as usual china very clever use name of home audio company that dont have any car audio..........anyway its sq is so-so only....

u cant have a sq setup without a sub, the active sub for under seat is only good for midbass only, not sub bass, plus it sounds pretty bad.

Thank you very much zennn for your valuable feedback. So-so sq is ok for me actually as I am not into those high end sq products which I can't afford anyway. I just want a decent good sq setup overall. Anyway, I will try to look for another alternative component set brand other than Rogers next month project. Then, maybe another following month will invest into an mid-range amp to boost the component set. Will do stage-by-stage.

But, nowadays almost 99% all audio products are made in China. How can we find other made at any local accessories shop any longer unless some shop still carrying old stock procduct with them which actually I don;t mind so much of old stock as long as they are of good quality?

Has anyone try 1U Eunos as I know they're carrying some old audio stocks for discount?

go to shops with high reputation, they still sell good quality products and are not primarily after making money only, they have to protect their name as well. besides, their years of experience can advise u easily on the sound u want to achieve on a limited budget, plus they have other well off customers who trade in their old stuff for new ones.

Any recommendation for amp + component? Will be using to listen to radio only. My HU is the OEM Clarion cassette that comes with Iswara Aeroback only. Stock 4inch speaker very lousy and bassless sad.gif.

Budget 1k - 1.5k++

1500, buy cd player and 6.5inch front component speakers (comes with tweeter). iswara door can be modified to take 6.5inch speaker, forget the 4inch spkr. later save up for amp and sub, for 2nd round of upgrade.

'use a while then burst' are mostly cap ayam. laugh.gif branded stuffs seldom use a while then burst unless u did the installation wrongly. i bought DLS Nobelium 2nd hand, whack it nicely and still no problem. quality of workmanship is there. u can ask a lot of ppl in this forum who bought branded 2nd hand stuffs, mostly have no problem. 2nd hand HU is the onli thing u gotta look out cos the lens might need to be changed soon. other than dat, amps and speakers are quite durable.
