Definite not 1%.
It is around 2.2%.

1% - mastercard/visa fees
1% or more- bank fees

To save cost/fees, there is where wise shine.

Wise may help you avoid certain fees, but it also imposes charges that you wouldn't encounter with regular credit cards. Don't blindly endorse Wise.

Time to stop using BigPay.

SCB jumpstart overall rate is better than wise in Korea.

There has been absolutely no reason to use it since two years back.

JumpStart consistently outperforms Wise across most, if not all currencies.

usually yes

competitive or low or no forex fee are those imposed by the issuer. they willing to absorb the difference to gain advantage from other issuers.

however nowadays forex fluctuation is moody, more issuers are rethinking this strategy as they couldn't absorb so much lol

prevailing network forex fee still applies though.

Never known TnG or other card providers to cut their fees after setting them, don't expect that to change.

Often, cards that claim to have "no fees" might still charge for overseas transactions or admin fee, can't be certain until you try them.

If go Thailand, register for Truemoney ewallet, then topup at 7e using debit card that already have thai currency in it. should be much saving right? hopefully the roadside seller also high chances accept truemoney ewallet payment.
