I remembered OCBC TMC didn’t have a good final rate for foreign currency transaction. And based on the image attached, it says no markup for OCBC 365 only. Are you certain OCBC TMC now has no markup fee too ?
*
I asked the OCBC credit card employee that was handling my credit card application regarding this markup fee and she confirmed that this is applicable to OCBC TMC too.

going to charge around USD460 x 2 to pay for India tour + USD105 x 2 for visa.

is reloading Bigpay with UOB Yolo then pay with Bigpay still the best option, even if compared with Maybank Amex 5% weekend cashback across 2 months(RM100 cashback)?

Other CCs I have are Citibank Premier Miles and HSBC Amanah Mpower and Visa Signature.

[ pls inform me if there is a thread on PayPal. ]
I know some of you purchase a lot of products via PayPal payment.

What is the best selection in the attached picture for lower FX rates ?

if my calculation is right, assuming 1 USD = 4.18 MYR:

If I charge USD460 to Amex Card:-
USD460 x 4.18 x 1.005 x 1.025 - RM50 cashback = RM1930.724

If I charge USD460 to BigPay:-
USD460 x 4.18 = RM1922.80

So UOB YOLO + BigPay should be the winner here, even without considering the online cashback on UOB YOLO card

However, for USD82 visa fee, Amex is the winner as:

Amex
USD82 x 4.18 x 1.005 x 1.025 - RM17.65 cashback = RM335.435

BigPay
USD82 x 4.18 = RM342.76(without deducting possible 8% cashback for online transactions for UOB YOLO card)

I just checked my last OCBC credit card statement and it suggests that the OCBC Titanium MasterCard also has an administration fee of 1.25% for payment made in foreign currency.

I think so, the tnc didnt specifically said e-wallet or prepaid card reload are excluded unless they are categorised as financial services transactions.
https://www.uob.com.my/web-resources/person...olo-tnc-eng.pdf

But i dont plan to count on it as it wasnt guaranteed and recently the cash rebate i got has been very little. on top of that, my plan to top up ~RM3800 to pay for the tour would have maxed out the cashback already(if any)

1. check VISA / MASTERCARD exchange rate based on posting date of your transaction. link on first post.

2. use 0% as charges. get that rate and compare with charged amount.

thanks

i think bank rakyat used the mastercard currency rate without any extra fees. only the 435usd amount was different supposedly 1817.90

the 2.99 and 450usd charged was exact.

is it any good? i think bank rakyat has points as well. 1% possibly.

• 2% Cash MegaBonus for overseas retail purchases

PBVI has the above feature. I’ve confirmed with CS that it’s applicable for online purchase with foreign currency.

So I think it’s more or less same rate if I use either PBVI or BP.

Want to buy something at Singapore. Wonder use Bigpay cheaper or credit card?

if XE.com shows 1SGD=RM3.05, mean 3.05 or need 1% for Master rate?
