QUOTE(buntutwoman @ Apr 25 2011, 10:13 AM) the htc sensation is truly a spectacular phone. very smooth indeed. solidly built with sturdy grip. i cant wait for more details from u! there is a slight delay in some applications but i'm sure that can be rectified easily. i have always stressed back to htc that the volume is of great importance. time and time again, its like cohesive repetition. i can only hope that this time they will listen. Since it is nearing target date, i can provide you my short summarized version of the sgs2. *edit, forgot to quote my own citation. thanks |

i know everyone needs this phone badly.. but if we can stick together and not to buy from those bloody seller esp for the first 1-2 weeks.. we are actually helping ourselves from these money thirst monster..
we should be more patient and give them a lesson. remember, be a smart consumer / buyer! |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Apr 29 2011, 10:04 AM) I have already resigned to the fact, most probably earliest we see it in Msia in June /July. Meanwhile let us just enjoy the upcoming reviews of those who are getting it in May absolutely true.. there's no point crying out for feature that we won't even get the chance to use..NFC not available - is OK for me ; not an issue at all. I seriously doubt I will be keeping the phone for so long till, NFC facilities are available in Msia. By then probably I'd be holding a SGS S III already !! |

QUOTE(oldKyoo @ May 2 2011, 05:32 PM) last time the question was what can iphone do that sgs cant do. now the question is what cant iphone do that sgs2 can do. u understand??? sgs2 is god. and iphone is an insect if u want to compare. we always talk bad about iPhone fan boys, and now you gonna be one.. but for android? iPhone is a big player as well.. how can you deny it? SGS2 is definitely gonna be awesome..and i cant wait to grab it. but i still appreciate what iPhone is great at.. smooth interface (yeah i know about 3d acceleration, but why cant android has the same?).. the ability to copy and paste almost everything.. smooth web browsing.. accurate keyboard (there's no need to change the keyboard as the default one is good enough).. my point is.. what we prefer, and what we own.. doesn't make other stuff a crap. to any potential buyers who not yet decide between iPhone and Android, test both yourself.. and buy the one which suits you better. |

haha yeah! now we can see iphone is everywhere.. esp iphone 4..
for me 2 phones that changed my life are iPhone 3gs and Nexus One.. hopefully sgs2 can be a great phone and the next android os will overcome all the little issues android has at the moment.. so I don't have to keep changing phones like I did since i jump into android ship.. Thx. sure! will definitely let u guys know at the minute i see the set.QUOTE(anakrantau @ May 5 2011, 09:23 PM) hoho, yeah the shop is definitely valid, and also the seller. the thing is, and the most important thing is.. the set. there have been many ap sellers in ap forum open thread about this phone since month ago but none has them.. so i'll go to verify the SGS II has landed in our beloved land. I did bought my HTC Incredible S from this shop last Saturday might drop a visit if they really got ready stock. |

some people like post news like they have some info, but never reveal it in details and cause lots of confusion to others.
i can just say they are maxis / telco people and want us to keep waiting for them to have the phone.. in fact they themselves dont even know when they gonna sell the phone. lol. |

QUOTE(buntutwoman @ May 5 2011, 11:56 PM) Disagree. The telco's whom were handed pre-beta units have the dates already set. That is to strategise the campaign launch, pre-reserve the advertising slots, preparation of banners and news clippings, launch of reviews and a small section of support. These usually require a period of 60 days. However, due to certain restrictions which i cannot disclose, they are only given a small amount of time for all these preparations. The period of time i'm talking about has always been under 40 days. buntutwoman, i know you and your records and i dont have doubt about it. if u say avoid it, i will 99% avoid it. even if there's no reason given. but if there are 10 unknown people tell me to avoid it, i will just say to them: who are you? give me some proof and i will follow what u advice. They know when exactly to launch. But "they" are only a handful of people related to product and packaging. So unless you have friends or relatives related to product and packaging, all other information pertaining to anyone else within the corporation is pretty much unreliable/inaccurate. The only person who knows for sure about all these matters; inclusive of new phone launches, telco, dates, price, ties etc etc etc; is none other than the product manager of samsung. If you have some courage, your should seek the product manager of samsung. Located at Plaza Sentral 7-8th floor i think. I remember the previous product manager, nice chap, Mr Lim CP. He's already moved on though. so my previous statement is referred to those ordinary, unknown forumers who like to write short posts.. and i wanna stress to them, if they are somebody, tell us who they are. and if they are not, please do not make rumors look like facts. |

QUOTE(brotan @ May 6 2011, 03:25 PM) i guess those guys selling also got the phone at this price or maybe cheaper (savings due to bulk shipment) they buy in bulk, so i dont think they can escape customs easily..so that guy who sold at RM 2800 makes RM 600 profit / unit 20 unit = RM 12k (jealous0 ccm cost is rm2.3k, so i can say their cost is around rm2.4k.. rm400 x 20 = rm8k.. okeylah for a business.. bear in mind, they have to provide local warranty for 1 year anyway a big congrats to CCM!
