Nope, you can feel the difference, it is completely 2 different sound especially you change to silver cable

Eventhough the new color housing of SE846 has its stock cable improved, but still better to upgrade cable

I'd love myself a linum.
It's damn thin, contrary to the thick and stiff 846 stock cable.
Maybe someone else will like it thick and stiff.

Linum is the other extreme, almost too supple, gets tangled easily. But a decent cable for sure, just needs to be stored properly. Not convinced by the SuperBax I tried, though.

Double Helix Cables and Norne Audio gets the balance right, for me. Comfortable, supple and relatively easy to store. Beat Audio is also a bit too stiff, from my experience. Would recommend the first two, but not the third, even though quality is good.

Somehow I finally recall that guy is quite well known in audiophile forum for some reasons.

actually linum cable is better for use, stock cable of SE846 is still okay to me in terms of size, imagine you have a custom cable of 8 cores in helix arrangement........

Will look into those too one day perhaps. And also the Moon Audio cables. Quite a bargain probably (not really familiar with aftermarkets. Saw the Moon stuffs at around 200 american bucks.

8 cores in helix arrangement is still manageable on headphones, but if it's thin like linum, 8 or even 10 twisted cores I don't think it's thick lol.
