can u use the TAB while charging it? since the output max is only 1A. TAB uses more than 1A.

You will need the following items:

1. Powerbank. Recommeded to have one that can provide 2 USB port with 5V 1A each or 1 USB port with 5V 2A. Capacity recommended to have at least 4000mAh. The one (as in the picture) I'm using is 5000mAh. I bought at Singapore during a fair for S$79.


2. A USB Y-Cable (for HDD used) to combine power from 2 USB ports.


3. A Female Mini-USB to Female USB adaptor.


4. Galaxy TAB charging adaptor (DIY). Circuit diagram can be found on web.


5. Galaxy TAB charging cable.

6. When all items are connected and plug to Galaxy Tab. You can see it shows 'Battery Status - Charging (AC)' witness by Benny88 and other members.


With above setup, I can charge and use my Tab at the same time. The same setup can be used to charge HTC Flyer with Micro USB cable instead of Galaxy Tab cable.


Note:
a. If you can get a PowerBank to supply 5V 2A, then you don't need item 2 and 3. You can charge and use your Tab at the same time.

b. If your PowerBank with 1 USB port and supply 5V (500mA or 1A), then you don't need item 2 and 3. You can charge your TAB with 'Battery Status - Charging (AC)' but you cannot use it while charging. If you do then you will risk your PowerBank auto shutdown due to overload.
