thats why if u learn how to flash sgs or sgs2 if u got soft brick.... u can make a jig to push ur phone go to download mode to flash again another rom.....

yes, thats why i wanna root it.. flash custom roms.. but problem is cannot root.... a
tried many ways as i did follow every instruction is xda.. non works for my tab after so called updates for my tab 2.2.1...

Why don't you do all of us a favour and post here how you root it ?? I read several users feedback they couldn't do it using SOC after upgrade to official . I will than post it up in page 1. I never use official GB 2.3.3 , so have no idea about the issue of unable to root

you cant root the 233 with superoneclick, afaik
ive only been able to get root via flashing that kernel(?) CF_Root_TAB7_XX_OXA_JQ1_v3.2_CWM3RFS.tar through odin 1.8

nice find out bro..... so anyone that had update their tab use kies cant root through super1click plz try this method and share the result here...

I've managed to roll back to stock DXJK2 (from Overcome GB v3 c/w latest kernel and ext4)and flashed stock GB ,DXJPD with Kies.
Here's what i did:

a)Flash with Odin3 v1.7
1. Download P1000DXKM3 from here. P1000DXKM3 - http://www.4shared.com/file/pqPvd29x/P1000DXKM3.html?
1. Backup your data.
2. Extract the firmware files from the P1000DXKM3.7z file.
3. select P1_add_hidden.pit for .pit file.
4. check repartition.
5. select AP_P1000DXKM3-REV03-ALL-CL874291.tar.md5 for PDA.
6. select CP_MODEM_P1000DXKM1_REV_00_CL873880.tar.md5 for PHONE.
7. select CSC_P1000OLBKM2-MULTI-CL878295.tar.md5 for CSC.
8. Flash your tab and wait for it to restart.
9. Welcome back to stock.

extra steps
10. Root by using SuperOneClick v1.9.5 by CLShortFuse.
11. Unsign Bootloaders by using this SGT-Bootloader-Patch by chainfire and rotohammer.

b) Go to Phone on tab, key in code : *#272*your device IMEI#
Change CSE code from KOR (korea) to XME (M'sia). The Tab will reboot into recovery then auto reboot into the default start menu/set up


c) Now flash DXJK2 using Odin. Rom here:http://www.4shared.com/file/-87CbOF3/P1000DXJK2.html?
Use pit and put the entire tar file into PDA.


d) Connect to Kies, now rom detected as CSC - XME and xme gingerbread offered as update. Well. you know the rest.


As for rooting, I used Chainfire CF Root.

Hi guys, as i mention earlier on this thread a weeks ago, my Tab is dead. Cannot turn on, cannot connect to pc etc. Then i decide to send it to Samsung Center. Today, I got a call from them. They said, i VOID the warranty because i root the TAB. They also said something is fault with the motherboard because of it..
I must pay around RM700 if i want they repair the TAB.

now im in dilema. Want to repair or not? What your opinion guys?

have you already full re-charge your tab & swith on to download mode?

Samsung Service Centre is along the Federal Highway just before the slip road turning into Jln 222, PJ. Same row with Hong Leong Bank.

I don't think the have a service centre in Subang Jaya.

Only original sets are free within the warranty period.

im sorry to hear about ur tab bro..... that mean for rm700 they claim u to pay for the motherboard.... one case i found in sgs thread he cant turn on his sgs and then he sending for claim to samsung... but samsung find out his motherboard totally burn out bcoz he OC his sgs till burn.... so he gonna replace his mobo.....

but so unlucky to you... im so sory to hear that bro..... if u think its worth to paid it go on.... its all on ur hand.... ur decision... anything good luck...

You mean you cannot even put in recovery mode through the hard buttons ?? If you can, it can be restored back using Odin
If motherboard replacement needed, that is the usual costs around RM 800. However I don't think rooting cause motherboard failure

Yes. Its like a hard brick. Nothing can wake up the Tab. I already try all the combination of keys that i found on google, i try charge it using 3rd party charger, i try connect it to pc but nothing can wake up the Tab.

enaleni, yes, its burn because of the OC method but im not doing it on my Tab. Just Overcome default setting and default kernel etc. Thanks btw. im still trying to figure out if someone can repair it with less cost. Otherwise, im sending back to Samsung.

benny, Yes. I cannot even put in on and no recovery mode, no download mode. wow, the motherboard cost rm800? Then, Samsung Center is cheaper.
btw, i also think its not about rooting or bootloader unlocking. i'm thinking of:

1st, how do they know my Tab is rooted? its already dead. hardly dead.
2nd, they changed the broken hardware and boot it up, and they founded my Tab is rooted. , but they transfer the costing of hardware to me because im root it even the problem is coming from them?

this is just their excuse .....
btw which fine print show we can't root or mod os, does it print on our warranty book ar (sorry i never read that book) ? heehehehe pls don't shoot me .....
