Hi guys,
I bought SGT(wifi) for my dad's birthday.
I think everything was okay, until I received SMS from him just a minute ago, asking why the tab cant be turned on?
He said he already put the charger into it. and let it charge. but when pressed power ON button, nth happen. just blank screen.
I can't see it personally and touch it coz im in the office, so i just need to tel my dad what to do. I just told him to jz leave the tab charging for awhile before pressing it again.
Any ideas whats going on guys?
It's 100% stock. Froyo 2.2.
Thanks in advance!

My dad tried and pressed for 15 secs and touched the screen for the same amount of time at the same time, and it boots up.
It's his 3 days with the tab.
Anyway, may I know what is the cause of this issue? Hardware or software?
I googled around and they say there's a fix for this. 2.2.1 update?

It need some cycle to break the daily use. Let it run for few cycle charge. See if it helps. If not, you may consider rooting it & try to wipe the battery status. * Just suggestion.

It has happened to my tab a few times (over 6 months) after charging ( I would switch off before charging) where no amount of pressing would start the tab. What i do is plug it back to charger until you get the charging icon then press and hold to start up the tab. Think it's the battery.

QUOTE(thepittbull @ May 20 2011, 01:26 PM) LOL! Stop pressing the F5 button for now, you'll only wear it out! Barring any show-stopping bugs that crop up in these last few hours of burn-ins... the RC1 is slated for release at about 8pm MY time, along with the surprise alterbridge86 has been alluding to. :-) Right now, with permission from the team, I've opened up a special preview for only two people here on LYN... as I respect their opinion and feedback. So just be a little bit patient, yeah? Trust me, it's worth it. thanks for the ETA ... was about to get a new keyboard as my F5 is really wearing out looks like it's Overcome RC1 after dinner time.

I suspect my battery or the Tab itself is problem I tried the recovery method to remove battery stats but seems to failed. Cannot do the recovery method by pressing Vol up+home+power / volume up+power button also. Does anyone have same problem Any method and solution greatly appreciate!

Any1s tab having hanging issue? Mine is rooted since a month ago but the problem only starts about a few days ago. To get over it, I will need to press the power button to lock. Once I unlock it almost immediately, it will work again.
