Well, there is something I forgot to mention about the cooler pad : it elevates the notebook, so the vents underneath can blow out the hot air more efficiently and the screen is elevated helping you to reduce neck strain.
AND it cools the laptop efficiently...AND you don't have a huge ugly aircon sticking out of the notebook. |

Wow, it seems like we have a lot of discussion regarding cooler in this thread.
Well, IMHO, coolers did help in reducing laptop temperature, especially the ones with aluminium material, due to the fact that the aluminium acts as a good conductor in dissipating the heat from the laptop. The proof is, even though I didnt turn on my laptop cooler (CM Infinite), my idle temperature still drop from 45C to 41C, when I turn it on, it goes down to 39C. Well, every cooler will have different efficiency depending on the location of your laptop vents and how the cooler works, but still, it helps. Regarding the magic cooler, I am so sure about that, it looks kinda suspicious, but if someone has reported that it works, so why not? This post has been edited by hidz7: Apr 21 2011, 07:18 AM |

I bought this last year with RM 80 with 2 adjustable fans. After i saw the website, just realised my laptop can place under the notepal. hahaWith this you cool a larger area of the laptop, not just around the side vents |

QUOTE(reevephon @ Apr 21 2011, 04:15 PM) Depends on the bottom of your laptop, mind sharing pics of it? The more vents underneath, the better the U2/U3 U2 won't be able to fully "fit" a 15.6 incher.... Hence you may want to consider a U3 instead |

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Apr 21 2011, 04:18 PM) Depends on the bottom of your laptop, mind sharing pics of it? The more vents underneath, the better the U2/U3 U2 is just enuf for my 15" N53SN. Although the laptop is a bit bigger then the U2. But the laptop LEGS is on the U2. You don't really need FULL cover below the laptop. U2 won't be able to fully "fit" a 15.6 incher.... Hence you may want to consider a U3 instead The advantage is better ventilation, lighter and cheaper. |

come to think of it, if u run a cooler on seperate power,
EG: ac power, ur laptop will be much cooler. coz take u3 for example, ur stressing your laptop more by having it power those 3 fan, that's why heat reduction not so significant. try running them on ac, im sure the heat reduction will be significant. |

QUOTE(ngkhanmein @ Apr 21 2011, 09:20 AM) The lifespan written on the website or on the box is just estimation before the electronic parts in the cooler experiences a severe wear and tear. All electronic devices will experience this kind of problem I guess. |

Glad to hear that U2 is still suit your N53SN as I just bought a U2 for my HP DV6 which is also a 15"6 inches laptop, and now waiting for the parcel to be delivered to my doorstep. The advantage is better ventilation, lighter and cheaper. |
