Hi everyone,

I am just like you, a DELL XPS M1530 owner.

I bought the laptop with fairly big money and right after the 1-year warranty ended, problem starts to occur.

The screen starts jumping and finally in the end there is no display at all. I sent for checking and the problem is some display IC burnt and the only way

out is to replace the whole mobo, I refused to do so as it cost me around RM700.

Untill recently when I finally made up my mind to sell it as junk, some friends over here provide me a DELL blog entries about some DELL laptop

model will experience nVidia GPU failure and DELL is doing 1 on 1 exchange and they actually manage to get a brand new XPS without any charges !!

I CANT answer you any question on this matter but you can go and have a look on those entries on DELL.

Actually is not only XPS model but some other too, if your friends' laptop are having similar symptoms, better call DELL !!

According to both of them, you have to be PERSISTANT when complaining bout that.


I havent make the call cause i just know bout this today BUT anyone that is having the same problem, start calling !!
With more cases arise, I think all of us would have a bigger chance to make replacement !!
