Hi, I recently changed my PSU to a CM Silent Pro 500w cos I'm using only a GT9800 on a i5 2500k + P67 board. But the seller asked me to reconsider. He said since I wanted to do OC, any type of OC, then I need to get an OC PSU. This CM silent pro isn't one. He seems very knowledgeable with his explanation about the 12v rail, how many phase, etc... all of which I know very little. Almost convinced but still uncertain.
Now I have my silent pro, really is silent but I don't dare to OC. Betul ker ni?

OK, then OC and let's see how silent pro is noisy pro. Thanks battlefield1942. Funny, I can play Crysis but when I try battele field, I get dizzy easily.

I guess the seller wanted me to buy something expensive, above rm600. But I kinda have a budget, so sticking to silent pro 500w. One 12v rail is more than sufficient I suppose.

The guy was pushing for GOLD psu worth at least rm600+ My rig very basic: i5 2500k Giga P67 Asus 9800GT 8GB Ram 2 HDD 1 DVD that's all.... very simple. Just want to push the CPU clock faster, to zip and unzip, convert for ipod touch, etc... stuff like that. Video making, etc.... Completed Crysis 2 with it, didn't need much of CPU power anyway.
No lar.. not thinking of upgrading the gc card yet. Still early. No doubt the GTX460 and above are great. But the jump isn't that great, and the price is too much for me. Perhaps 2013. By then the warranty for my psu is ner over.

Yup, doing 4.2 / 4.3GHz these days. Fair enough. Don't want to over do it...temp is around 52C after OC. Before is 41C.
