hi, i am an ex bank-negara staff who resigned last month, basically it's a good stepping stones for econs and finance, i am a business grad, my job for BNM is to procure money and gold (physical!!) and not on currency exchange.
The have good structures in everything but one thing, they are abit orthodox in doing things, e.g memos, minutes and lots of paperworks.
Benefits i believe they are the first in the market, with flexi-benefits, bonuses up to 18 months mind you and loans, interest free!!!
Wages among the government bodies ranked third after SSM and first is LHDN.

Any more questions??

I believe starting pay is RM3500... lots of benefits like further study, bonus, etc etc. Not sure so much about the benefits at junior level, but BNM said starting pay is RM3500.

Mind you, it's hard to get in there. I went for the interview, they are looking for people who are really serious to join them.

starting pay subjective...believe when i was there in 2009 latest is only 2700....
to penetrate bank negara is hard..i myself was lucky to get in but unlucky as I am only contract..huhuhuhuh
they offered for permanent but khazanah's offer tempting furthermore balik kampung to kedah...

my last pay is RM5800...and i am a senior exec.
