Received an SMS on Monday evening from 32324:
"RM0: Successful registration. No subscription fee. Price:RM4.00/SMS .7 SMS/Week.Renewal on 11/26/2018. To cancel, send STOP HS to 32324."

Checked credit. 15 sen mysteriously missing, left RM4.85. I had RM5 on this number which I'm using for cheap data. No proof that this SMS caused the missing amount as I didn't check for some time. Ignored because it might be wrongly sent. I had TAC for XOX app registration sent to my number few days prior probably by mistake (You have to manually input the phone number).

10 minutes later XOX sent repeating SMS telling my account has no available credit. Panicked. Rechecked credit. 85 sen left!

Immediately called XOX CS. He immediately confirmed it was scam number for premium SMS service (What the heck is 'premium SMS'?!). Asked if I wanted this incident to be reported for refund of RM4. Of course! Still waiting for refund. Will report SKMM if taking too long.

actually Digi is also the same. On and off I will receive calls from all over the places like Liberia, Pupua New Guinea, Ascension Island etc etc. And even if I don’t answer the call I am still being charged for it.

Our telco here is very much useless and their telco system is actually compromised and they are really useless. Such big company telco but they cannot do anything, but when comes to barring our line that one number one.

And so easily blame us consumer for this say we click website la, click app la, reply sms la. All this is bullshit ok. App can magically register without our permission, or browsing the internet can can cause this to effect telco. Like that means telco useless la right.

Alot of people not very well versed in it so those customer service just bullshit their way out of the problem cause lazy to work and follow up cause we paying for it not them. So easy ask consumer work out their own problems with the scam company which uses the telco network to conduct illicit activity.

Look at my screenshot even since two months ago I have had invalid sim card at certain locations and when I ask Digi I am asked to change my simcard or try in on another phone. Right i am suppose to believe that a phone which cost a thousand is faulty and not their RM 10 simcard. Use a thousand dollar item to test a  10 dollar sim card that really freaking genius.

I went and buy another sim card with a different telco and test it works fine. When i answer back to the customer service, gagap, can’t answer ask me go replace RM 10. The simcard inside my phone untouched since i bought the phone now becomes faulty we consumers have to pay?

You know it is clear that these scammers are making money and the telcos are benefiting plus their system has been compromised. And i suspect those scammers are piggybacking on consumer line like mine that is why invalid sim and not no simcard detected.

What has MCMC done all this while ? I see post dating back almost 5 years and still nothing being done. All those money has to go somewhere and into some account. PDRM sleeping ? MCMC sleeping or all tak mau kerja want makan gaji buta. like that also cannot track najib 2.4 b also can track this type of chicken feet scam cannot ?

Right now I'm trying to focus my complaint to MCMC and XOX to the unauthorised usage of number aka simcard hijacking. Doing this by reopening my complaint, answered why the issue is not yet resolved by the telco company, and proposed my expected resolution. Basically, I'm doing forensic investigation job and covering my base as much as possible just in case. The closest analogy to MCMC's SOP is how FCC certified the Boeing 737 MAX by pushing all the test processes to Boeing itself.

Probably the only way MCMC and telco companies will wake up is when random phone numbers were hijacked for a horrible catastrophe and the perpetrators were able to get away undetected by framing the hijacked numbers' owners.
