thinking of cooking my own rom using dockitchen. lots of reading to do   

I'm plan to flash my SGS from Froyo 2.2 unrooted to XXJVK Gingerbread 2.3.3 following the guide on the first page. May I know do my SGS need to be rooted first before I used ODIN to flash ?
Anyone perform the flashing in the guide or using XXJVK ? Any problem encountered so far ?

where to download JVB ? Is the step the same as JVK ? Does it come with Bootloader ?

anyone know where to get Gingerbread keyboard?
always use ginger keyboard when on simply 2.6 & 2.7..

now my SGS still can make a call but with rate rm4.50/min & rm2/sms. since my SGS can make a international call mean I can use my SGS with their operator?
what I want is I wanna subscribe japan's local operator without buying new phone. I very confuse now because I heard that local phone cant use in other country, same as japan's phone cant use in malaysia.

I'm using MIUI RCb previously and i wanted to try goatrip

so i tot of flashing to a JVB rom first and i decided to use the EZbase jvb version but after flashing the phone is stuck in bootloop and i cant seem to get it out

can someone direct me to the correct path and the files to use?

finally booted into EZbase froyo... so should i continue flashing stock JVB or EZbase JVB?

my current ROM is jvk based simply honey RC3, with CF root kernel 3.1

nvm i'm still very much in love with MIUI although i'm using Goatrip... GB is not as impressive, besides i like the ori look of gb not customed XD

flashing from JVK to JVB. but now still at logo after 15 min. should i wait?

previously, on stock XXJVK with bootloaders. Then i use odin and flash XWJVB without bootloaders. now, glowing at the logo for 15 min.

So, the GPS improved?
Hopefully, it's faster and more accurate than before.

I am tired with the Galaxy S's GPS.  Applied so many fixes and flashes, it's still working like sh!t.

I am using the PAPAGO! X5, I think it's slow to lock and drain battery like hell.

You enlighten me with the new GPS performance. I'll try Custom Gingerbread ROM as soon as it had gone stable for SGS Captivate variant.

erks sorry guys.. to delete all 3apks, what software u used? i try with astro file manager but failed..
