ok i m abit confuse.

in order to go into JVB custom ROM (eg goatrip), i need to 1st flash stock JVB base. But which do i flash? deodexed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=948790 or the 1 with the bootloaders http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1011901

anyway, finally downloading JVB, by tonight i should be using it

wats SIP i wonder

i have this prob with my brightness display sensor. it swith between bright and dim very frequent on both jvb and jvk. u guys got it?

1st look on goatrip. its got a damn cool launcher! shall test a few days.. before deciding to switch to simply galaxy 3.1 jvb based (releasing soon)

for those on goatrip. gingerbread keyboard doesnt come wt the rom?

i just applied the steelblue theme by team carbon. its quite good as well. i used it before on froyo. m testing it on jvb. so far its pretty alright.

any1 tried speedmod latest GB based kernal?

Added on April 21, 2011, 11:04 pms ofar so good. snappy and quick. bat is draining bit heavier, but i am still on my 1st day of using it. give it a try.

i am on goatrip 1.7, cf-root kernel with steelblue theme.

hmmm weird

i am following this guide to calibrate my batt, as recommended after flashing new ROM:

After 3-4 full charge/full drain -cycles, do the following:

1. Charge the battery up to fullest.
2. Keep it plugged in to charger, and reboot to recovery.
3. On the recovery, go advanced, wipe battery stats, scroll on to yes BUT Don't wipe them yet. When you're ready, quickly remove the battery cable and push to wipe the battery stats.
4. Reboot the phone, use normally. Let it run completely out of battery.
5. Charge the phone back to full. Turn off phone. Charge until it says 100% on the green bar and vibrates for full charge.
6. The Important Part. Remove the charge cable for 0-0.5 seconds and plug it back in instantly. Let it charge to 100% again. Do this 1-2 times again, so you've done this 2-3 times total.
7. Reboot to recovery, wipe the battery stats again as on the step 3.
8. After wiping the battery stats, plug the charger back in the phone.
9. Reboot to ROM. Keep the cable plugged in. Keep it plugged in for about 30 mins to 2 hrs. Unplug. Should say 100%, mine did for about 40 mins after it depleted onto 99%.

now.. i am on step 4.

but upon reboot, i found that my batt% at the top bar is diff than ,y batt widget. i check setting, batt doc app, all indicated same as my widget

wats wrong? lol! alamak..

difference is only 2 % eg (top bar sow 10%, the rest is at 8%)

weird thing is my batt status on my top bar during charging is diff then thos on my widget or android batt info (settings> about phone > battery use)

well.. goatrip is not bad. batt drain mb a lil, but still i manage to get through the day without needing to charge

GOTO lockscreen is cool
you may do a search in the market. but you might need to pay to get it tho.

If you flash to certain custom ROM, you have a total of 5 lockscreen choices

i was using the oleophobic sp, but the screen clarity is just not there (rainbow effect). in the end i bought the sgp sleap sp from jason and nvr look back since. =) well, the finger print and oil is abit annoying, but looking at my super amoled was jus awesome. hehe

well, if you notice a guy oways wiping his phone screen somewhere out there, well.. it might just be me. haha
