one thing i'll never understand about samsung @ google @ android itself, why the Nexus S already got the 2.3.4 upcoming OTA updates while galaxy s still stuck with buggy GB? shouldn't they be realizing the facts that Galaxy S is much top-seller than Nexus S? haiyaa

1. Have to be rooted
2. Must make /system folder to be r/w - can use root explorer or sgstools
3. delete using rootexplorer

Most of us got our SGS less than 1 year, so I don't think many of us will change to SGS2 immediately (with exception of some super rich guys in here)...

Perhaps most of us will change phone in another 1-2 years time....at that time, we will probably get SGS3 or SGS4 already...

Besides, our current SGS still feel pretty awesome and with the variety of custom ROMs out there, you will still feel that your SGS is still fresh....for example, if you flash to MIUI ROM, fuyoh, you got a new phone and experience already....play for a few weeks, then flash back to Gingerbread ROM, add in Crysis Sensation theme, and fuyoh, another new experience already....and it keeps going on....haha....join some of the hardcore flashers in here and you will know what I mean...

after backup is done, i can straight flash and follow all the steps given?

then just restore from titanium backup again?

weird.. i was on deodexed jvb with jvk modem but can last for at least 1 day.

try this :

using root explorer, mount r/w, browse into system/app and rename these 3 files like this :
- syncmldm.apk --> syncmldm.apk.bak
- syncmlds.apk --> syncmlds.apk.bak
- wssyncmlnps.apk --> wssyncmlnps.apk.bak

and try this too :

Settings->Applications->Manage Application->All->Software Update->Clear Data
