lkwanz: sorry bro, i've never disassembled the R8 before but I guess it shouldn't be too different from other Kyosho. Did u try to just pull the tire out? Thats how I disassemble some of my Kyosho.

Disassembled, repainting soon... But I got problem removing the rear engine cover. ARrrrrg!

Colour is the right one. But too much of glitters and too big too. :-(
Should have painted the side mirror some other colour right?

Nope. I removed the paint using paint remover and boy I was really impressed with this new paint remover I've just bought. Didn't take picture cause things where little bit dirty and smelly. Next time will do. :-)

Then wet sand it. And it sticks like hell! This time I spray really really thick colour coat and clear coat.

Wow... you guys really disassemble and respray your diecast. I didn't know it's possible apart from just photoshopping...

lkwanz: you can try using sewing pin...they're quite small. but other than that...im not sure what else you can use without actually ruining the caps.

congrats bro on finally getting it done! Lol.

I did break something as well when trying to disassemble the E93 M3. I accidentally took out the break disk and broke the mountings for one of the rear wheels. So now it's loose...but it still displays well.

Bro What is the brand of the paint remover?? What grade did you use for sand paper?? icon_question.gif
