Finally took out the Zonda R from the casing.
Made sure that I opened it after a heavy rain and had the room closed up to reduce the chance of dust getting in.  It is sheer mechanical beauty. (you can see the dust settling down on the body, it is damn annoying)   Unfortunately there is some fit issues, the rear clam shell doesn't clam down properly, if you get one side to fit well, the other just pops up like a sore thumb. Any suggestions to fix this issue?  But its still a thing of dramatic beauty.  Which will spend its days here. Yes, that is an upturned tupperware, it is an unworthy house, but it is temporary until I can find a good display case to house the Zonda, and perhaps a diorama set to accompany it too, and a soulmate.  Till then... |
