300 is slightly grain, but still ok, if reduce a bit (just a bit), might look even better.

MINORITY & WAR  are 2 of the very best in bluray picture quality, especially MI.

Agree on the minority report but the grains still acceptable... only I wish it would be shinning as I Robot...

I Robot is damn beautiful...

haha steelbook arrived this morning. in good condition, AMZ CANADA used fill-air inflatable packaging to protect the disc, AMZ CANADA is my 1st choice now.

a home entertainment disc is to present the movi in the way that the movi director intended to, WAR OF THE WORLD is meant to be grainy, so the BD present it in grainny way. it is faithful to director's intention.

i am not arguing that WAR OF THE WORLD has no grain, i am saying the grainy look is natural & faithful to the movi original look. it is the best presentation of the movi original look.

if it is not original & failure in transfer, DVD TALK REVIEW, BLURAY.COM & BLURAY HIDIFDIGEST would not give iy 4 /4.5 star rating.

the movi applied heavy grain reduction is FRENCH CONNECTION & PREDATOR, both received bad reviews.

Not an arguement, brother, but a personnel opinion, and it is my cup of tea. 

i also face lot of packing problem from AMZ DE, my 1st batch steelbook 2 dented/broken, 1 missing disc, after the replacemnet, i would say problem half solved.

AMZ CANADA got better packing, the steelbook from AMZ CANADA also better quality.

The DTS HDMA track is well balanced compared to most Hindi movies, especially in the LFE section.

The colour tones were slightly on the warm side, but I realise most of the older Hindi movies tend to be on the warm side anyway.

I had the YRF version (bought together with Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham) and I believe you mean that the subtitles during songs sometimes missing?

I am actually grateful that YRF at least continues to re-release old titles and looks like the masters are still in decent shape to allow for BD.

I do sincerely hope that some of the old P.Ramlee classics (I believe Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka hv the prints) are released one day in BD.
