I am ok, smile.gif I prefer around 4 hours film split to two disc.
*
i am very happy with 2 disc, as long as the transfer is really cool.

LOTR - 2 more weeks for release, 4 more weeks for arrival, i already empty a space for it arrival, will go & buy ARAGON & LENGOLIS action figure, it gonna to be LOTR month.

I hope Canada can kind for me against this time, I am going to order from Canada. It is much more cheaper actually, without Digital Copy is ok for me, just don't be too much different in packaging and material.
*
i will not take risk this time, actually u are lucky, for us who stay in Penang, DHL 1st class priority sure kena "FINAS" license. even it arrived within 3 days, i still need to go & apply the FINAS licence, which again cost me time & money. i believe the $ sure will go down & it will not out of stock easily as LOTR is huge success, sure NEW LINE stock up the release.

good luck.

I got bad experience with AMZ UK on steelbook, 3 out of 3 also dented, GREEN ZONE, WOLFMAN & PAUL. However, i never ask for refund or replacement cause i am satisfy with their cheap $ on disc & postage & fast delivering, i guess there is give & take. but i will not tolerance AMZ France because they are so expensive..

I love the ALLIANCE CANADA steelbook, not only got best printing, the packing also generous enough, AMZ CANADA always use a bigger box to pack the steelbook, so it would not be dented easily. Only problems is the FINAS license application.

AMZ German also delivered me lots of dented steelbook. However they have no problems for replacement.

Normally, each steelbook at least cost 50% more expensive than the standard packing. Have to wait for sales for steelbook.

OMG! shocking.gif  Amazon now got Source Code / Knowing Blu-ray Value-Pack for only $25.99 and release at the same date as Source Code! shocking.gif  Mean you can get Knowing for just $6!

The only problem is, is both got slipcover?  hmm.gif

If you haven't own both, this is really good offer for now.

I'm into this genre in OST like The Crow, Into The Wild, Natural Born Killer, Lost Highway, Beavis & Butthead. This are a few of my soundtrack collection.
Thinking of getting Social Network OST when the price is right
I would like to recommend The Last Mohican, Braveheart & Forrest Gump
*
cool choice, gonna to order F.GUMP & MOHICAN. already got BRAVEHEART.

Just want to ask some advice. I understand that if we limit the value of our our package to below RM500, there will not be any custom tax.

What if I have a number of pre-orders, from different Amazon which the value of these combine parcels are above RM500 and they could be reaching on the same time - as the estimated date stated is the same week! It may or may not be the same day but right now, the estimated date only state the same week.

Would I kena tax in that case? Any body can share some experience.
*
this is really based on luck, technically, if it is based on individual shipment, but we read from forum some dude kena tax cause the officer combine 2 shipment on the same day.

i was really lucky so far. last month during my crazy buying, in total i already received 40 shipments in 50 days. sometimes i received 5 packages in the same day & the total value > RM500. i guess it is all based on luck.

Guys,

LOTR Trilogy Extended Edition is priced at US$83.99 @ AMZ US while it is C$64.99 @ AMZ CA.

The only thing is - the AMZ CA version is released by Alliance, as opposed to New Line Cinema in the US.

Would there be any difference in terms of quality of the transfer? Or is it merely just being distributed by Alliance in Canada?

What do you guys think?
*
brother ANDREW is planning to go for the canada version, u might follow up with him.

I am OK with that, I don't might changes, as long it is much more appealing.

for LOTR-EE
U$D & CANADA $ ex-rate is not much dif, i guess after the US$ gone down to U$70, the dif is not significant, only catch is if u still want to try your luck on the AMZ CANADA free upgrade for 1st priority DHL services.

amz uk LOTR EE most likely is region B locked, currently at GBP55, not much dif. if those can wait, sure $ will go down in a month or 2. too bad i can't hold my horses this round.

Agree! Review is just a guide, as different people different taste. Believe yourself is the most important thing.
*
basically 4 reviews site can refer to:
1 http://www.blu-ray.com/
2 http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/
3 http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/
4 http://www.dvdbeaver.com/

1 - cover the most, included US/UK/GERMAN/FRANCE/CANADA, however always give high score for disc, lots of 4 star rating, good link, $ updated, most useful site for beginer thumbup.gif
2 - best in rating picture quality, however very american based and american taste, title not updated icon_idea.gif
3 - best in movie review rclxms.gif , however very general and surface in picture and sound quality yawn.gif
4 - very europe based, cover lots of euro movie, lots of comparison notworthy.gif , however limited titles

i believe lots of buddies here are DIGITAL ORIENTED, i myself prefer film like. rolleyes.gif
