That's right but it is still better if you have some sort of documentation just in case you are audited. I say , he say is of little value. |

Nah, asked around and i'm a contractor (consultant) based on a project basis actually, hence no EA form. It's the same for the rest, except most of them, they are sole proprietorship and file borang B instead :/
The rest, they just sum up, and do normally, with payslips as proof of annual income. and they credit certain amount into their EPF though. |

As my wife is not working in 2009 (i.e. homemaker), I plan to do comibined assessment for YA2009.
Do we need to close her Income Tax file ? Can her medical insurance portion be added to mine ? |

Added on March 1, 2010, 9:30 am QUOTE(yewkhuay @ Feb 25 2010, 03:05 PM) Hi all, yes there is portion in borang be2009 to claim for housing interest. check their website for details. its limited to rm10K, you can check my calculator which i already updated based on BE2009.I remember in 2009 govt announce 3yrs for interest paid for house loan from 2009 for income tax, can someone verify this ? and if it is true under which column we claim interest paid to bank to waive from tax? In combined assessment, the medical insurance part as with any other reliefs is added to spouse who is making the claim up to the amount of RM3K. i thought the "Individual and dependant relatives" has been increased to RM10,000 instead of RM8000?
please correct me if i'm wrong. editted: I've checked the LHDN website and it's written RM9000 for 2010. Does it means for YA2010? We're doing YA2009 income tax this year right? This post has been edited by keeseng12: Mar 1 2010, 11:06 AM |

I just found out can do self contribution through online banking at Public Bank, Maybank and another bank cannot remember. So easy |

Hi, my wife is not working.. and all these while I declare my income tax as individual.
So should I continue to file it as individual or combine? What is the advantage of it filing it as individual or combine? And can someone tell me what does "Ketetapan Umum Dipatuhi" means? Thanks for the advice in advance. |
