Finally got the cheque on 14 june, cheque dated 31 may....so, 2009 finally settled,unless they want to do a tax audit in the future....

really don't understand why they can't send the notification and cheque at one go, rather than separate it? by sending it at the same time, it can save time and cost......but i guess it is all about formal procedure tongue.gif

wta - for broadband relief, does that amount includes the service tax?

for example, if my monthly broadband amount is RM 110; would it be RM 110 x 12 months (excluding the service tax)?

oh...

like nothingz say, you need to do computation...

but it is safer to get the EA form from your ex-employer so that you compute using the right income figure (and your ex-employer is supposed to have prepared already; it is compulsory for them to do so); keep them in case of being called for audit

personal accident insurance is not entitled to a tax relief; onli whole life insurance and medical insurance/ education insurance entitled for tax relief

i think it is claimable even if you buy online.....as long as you have proof that it is a book or magazine

have you people receive the home loan year end statement that says how much interest is paid for the loan last year? do i need to call the bank for the statement, as i am eligible to claim for the interest rate relief...
