Guys question about the 4mbps upgrade.
They don't let me change to 4mbps,since the distance between TMNET and my house were far IDK how many
But i still insist of changing the speed from 1mbps to 4mbps.
Is it possible to do that? This is my details on the line

Attached Image

Somehow did they say the same thing to you before? A year ago,i changed to blockbuster deals then i wanted 4mbps,so i had to terminate my old line and recontract.
It seems that, they say can't upgrade then i'm stuck with 1mbps.
IS there way to make them install 4mbps..i don't really mind if i get around 3mbps+ or so its better than ntg
Hope you guys can help me out really needed 4mbps cry.gif

THANKS!

Downloads are really slow for the past few days.

Can't even hit 100kB/s on a 4mbps for days already from file hosting sites even though they're accessible...

Guys, i need some opinion. my subang home is 4MB, then if i want to bring over my 4MB to another place that only support 2Mb max (just for few days) .. can i do it? change the ID + PW .. i did it b4, but when i back my subang place, my connection detect 2MB only but in my port was 4MB. means they capped my speed? then after that i call 100 to make report, after 2days they call me my account ok ad ( back to normal speed). isit they reset my account or port?

What is your line attenuation reading?

If <40dB then it's not your line fault but they have not lift the 2mbps limit on your line at your new place yet. Those TM technicians will put you on 2mbps first to make you call their technicians to your place to increase it. Cari makan ma.

It's done on purpose so that you're forced to call them to your premise and they charge you "installation charges" once again.
There's no DIY allowed for 4mbps Streamyx as well as 2mbps.

( i'm just wondering, can i use my line at another place? ) if my line really capped at 2Mb instead of 4Mb, then ask them to rest my account then ok ad? slowpoke here ... cry.gif

So was your real intention is to use your 4mbps account previously registered at Subang at your Taiping home which was registered with a 2mbps line.

Answer is no. Your Taiping line has been physically capped at 2mbps so you might be able to login with your 4mbps account but speed will never exceed 2mbps because of the physical line limitations.

For that I can't answer you until I see the modem's interface screen at your Subang home. You're probably getting 2mbps at ur Subang home similar to the same reason I'm currently getting 1mbps with my 4mbps line now or your account profile got locked with the slower line you logged in earlier with 2mbps in Taiping.

You subscribed for 384Kbps at Taiping, but TM cap your PHYSICAL lines at DSLAM to 2Mbps. TM has 2 systems, first is Account cap, while the second one is PORT/DSLAM cap.

When you login using your 4Mbps account at Taiping, u can achieve the maximum speed of your port, which is 2Mbps, but why you cannot get 4Mbps? Because your port or like ipohbee said, PHYSICAL LINES are set to 2Mbps only.

While at Selangor, your port are set to 4Mbps, which is equal to your account speed.

I'm suspecting that's your DSLAM problem. Mind to post your downstream/upstream reading for your Selangor account?

yea, account profile got locked with the slower line you logged in earlier with 2mbps in Taiping. i think this is why my acc capped at 2Mb last time when i back subang .. shud be this reason if account capped, boom 100 only brows.gif

It's better for u to call 100 and complaint to them. Plus, can you post your downstream/upstream reading from your modem?
I'm afraid that's the port problem at your area. There's some case where TM suddenly miscapped your DSLAM, not your account...
