Did anyone noticed sometimes the P2P throttling applied by TM is broken  doh.gif  ? After reconnect the P2P throttling came back alive. As a student house, it's essential to have this kind of thing to prevent someone using torrent application.
Depends on your usage.

yes

was broken last week because the p2p speed suddenly came back, download whatever always hit maximum speed

until last night finished my last downloaded file thats also completed by max speed, then no downloads until tonight,

the p2p speed once again back to around 25-40kB/s, very hard to get over that speed, just like usual, throttled

something is definitely wrong with tmnet technicians...

Ok , here's my story .

I've been getting around 2mb's instead of my usual 3.8mb download for a week, so i lodged a report through '100' . Next day two technicians came by my house to test out the speed, and confirmed i'm not getting the minimum speed required for 4mb package. They told me they're going to check the station outside. Soon they called me and told me to monitor my DSL light for it to be stable, then do a speed test [ i assumed they changed the port ] .

So I take the speed test ( Speedtest.net and Streamyx speedometer ) ,

Speedtest.net wont load ( must be my browser i thought ) , so i tested using streamyx speedo . i got around 60 kbits with 4xx upload ( upload is normal )

I called the tech back and told him it became alot worse! . He said to wait for the next day and see . Ok, I waited patiently hoping for the best.

At night, i got around 1.7mbps , thankful I can stream and surf at least .

In the morning , I got around 0.1 mbps .. pages load with text only lol

Afternoon time, I called the tech to come by. Two of them came by again and tried to figure out what happened . After an hour or so , they gave up and said they will check what happened and get back to me( This was last Tuesday ) . No calls ever since, so I called 100 again yesterday, a kind operator guided me and refreshed my port, but nothing changed. Operator said a technician will come by on Monday...

Previously I had no problems with Tm technicians as the ones i've met are knowledgeable enough to rectify the problem.

Is it possible the technician's transferred me to a more congested port ? I can only browse lowyat at night ( after 1am )

Is there anything I can do besides wait? It's been 2 weeks approaching the 3rd week since the slow down from my 3.8mbps normal speed.

Also , Theres a new unifi pole directly outside my house , unifi is launching in my area soon . Is this the cause ?

Help and guidance would be much appreciated! I'm on DiGI 3G while composing this

Just a modem not a router or wifi integrated with it? smile.gif
For short distance with DSLAM suggest with Trendnet chipset modem, like tp-link 8816/8817;
For long distance with DSLAM suggest with Broadcom chipset mode, like D-Link 526B;

Below just some connected status with those modem biggrin.gif

My SNR is 30.3(Down) 22.5(UP), Attenuation 13.5(Down) 5.1(Up). I guess mine is I can say not that near but not too far as well from the DSLAM, so which chipset do u think will sync better? Thanks bro

ever since i called up to them to reset the port after there's a breakdown. All my pps max is 100kb/sec only. FOr a 4mbps line when i first subsribe last mth, all reaching 300+kb/sec.

If i report again, i think they will give me some bullshit excuses

Is there any possibilities that my ACCOUNT caused my line to be slow?

Here is the scenario : the technician SMS me telling me the speed is now 4MB. ( He went my home twice , first send modem , 2nd to check the speed
cause 24 hours of installation it is still 1MB speed)

So I check, the Physical cap is still 2048. My maximum download speed I got from speedtest.net was 1.80mbps. So , I replied the technician.

He replied me telling me he will send me a new Streamyx ID password and ask me change tomorrow. saying it is my account problem. da fuq
