at 1st is the dlink modem free by streamyx...then i bought asus n12u...same thing happen..

don't think so, I am using Dlink DSL-2640B free modem provided by TM and I am using Google DNS since then without any problem

uploading is slow even i got 4mbps.

anyone?

I know the if it's TM firmware (Riger, D-Link), the DNS can't be changed.
But I can change on non TM firmware devices.

Have you tried resetting the modem and re-setup?
Which IP did you use?

hmm which IP u mean..the IP option there also grey out cannot change...i try many modems already...can it be the streamyx problem ?

on streamyx dlink modem, you can try to change it on Advanced Setup>LAN

The unit that I got from Streamyx... can change... cannot save the values.
So I consider can't change...

Unless, the unit I have is another 'lemon' again...

you try changing it over DNS or LAN page?

for Dlink TM's DSL-2640B, I flashed the fimware back to Dlink factory default, then I am able to change DNS and done the port forward.

uploading for sure slow la..coz upload is limit at 512kbps. not 4mbps

haha u better get unifi if u want damm fast upload 512kbps is 2 slow already even 1mbps also 2 slow 4 my usage already

I mean which DNS IP? 8.8.4.4 or 8.8.8.8?

Advanced Setup -> DNS -> DNS Server -> Use the following Static DNS IP address:

Press save, the DNS IPs revert back to TM's.

Advanced Setup >> LAN >>Change the Primary DNS server: Secondary DNS server: (Under LAN page)

flushdns then check DNS on your pc

i jz received d new modem provided by d technician yesterday, innacom wan

btw, they still haven't set my speed to 4MB, still stuck at 2MB speed. call 100 but they said alr did their part but later d technician said d DSLAM still needs to be reconfigured

Its just a normal modem roueter if u to play around with the setting u hv to buy a better one otherwise js stick to this modem to save money.

and i just realized wif d new modem youtube n FB or any other webpage usually fucuked n sometimes can't access
