hmm what's the purpose of this filter?

it allows more air to get into the engine , but at the expense of worse filtration compared to the stock filter

more power, but engine will be worse off in the long run. not that bad lah, dont worry, so long as u service your car regularly no problem smile.gif

am i right, sifoos?

It increase air flow to the engine. Providing more power and lower FC. In hot afternoons ur car engine wont feel that heavy cos of hotter less dense air. Ur rev will pickup more faster too cos higher air flow..

Yaay! I finally bought the 3.5mm male to male connector for my iPod. It works! The only setback is i'll have to crank up the volume to about 20 and also put my iPod at the loudest volume.  Additionally, i can't use the buttons on the steering wheel to change (which is fine with me).

I only spent RM5 to get the connector..kekeek...luckily don't need to buy from apple smile.gif

Front n rear pads are different. If u'd like to change the pads, I suggest u take the front pads first because on a car with 4 disc brakes, the ratio of brake wear is 2:1, 2 front 1 rear. That means if u're satisfied with the front RS pads, u can then go ahead n order the rear brake pads as well after u've made up ur mind, and if ur wallet allows u to do so.

Zzz... Once the air filter got stock then the spam starts again.. Funny la u all..shakehead.gif

I'm driving PE h/line and changed both my rear n front pads to RS pads. The rear pads are smaller than the front. They have different sizes. Better check first.

The rear brake pads wears out twice slower than the fronts. So for those who drives a H line, wants the air filter and at the same time the brake pads, u can get the front pads first. There'll be no compatibility issues whatsoever.

mfz, the Works' Engineering air filter is indeed Simota air filter, but the warranty is not voided if it's not cleaned with a Simota cleaning kit. As Simota air filter is a lower flow filter compared to K&N, there's no need to use cleaning & oiling kit to service the filter.

Works Engineering is actually a rebrand of the Simota Taiwan Filter. Like Lancer GT to Inspira (oops butthurters).
Ya this one no need oiling kit also can work. And the new filter comes preoiled from factory.

im staying in subang. to go to shah alam, and to enter the federal highway i need to take a sharp downhill left corner... with the c200, the tires lean to the direction im going, like motocycle tires. with the persona, there's no such thing.. i made it through, but my heart races through out the damn corner especially since i felt as if the back side of my persona elegance H-line bronze garnet a.k.a "bronze bast@rd" kena 'buang' outside... felt like if i were driving any faster i would have spun

no grip? or the back too light?
i think i took it at about 90kmh or something. but that is no measure, since the curve radius, the slope, the plane angle needs to be taken into account. ive described which corner it was on my reply to zeng, maybe u know which corner it is.

yeah, merc c200 kompressor. it's my dad's, i used it before i bought my own car. it's a more powerful car, persona can never match up to that biggrin.gif with that car i can get my heard stick to the back seat when i full throttle. cant do that with my persona smile.gif
*
Pricing also diff ma... maybe you can change the rim to a 17inch+low profile tire.
Coz c200 got a big rim right? as our stock one is only 15inch.
Should have continue to drive your dad's car ma... and join our club...
Here Xan car is using 16inch and Samwong is using 17inch. Both have far better grip than our stock wheel.
Maybe tt you can bring Xan's car to tackle the corner...hahaha brows.gif

Owh i know that curve, always use it, i taken it at 100kmh b4.. but was licking my own balls at the same time.. Its downhill so better not speed cos if lose grip very difficult to gain back.
Merc got kompressor mah.. PE IAFM also always rosak one.. Merc when cornering time the car tires run oh very huge postive and negative camber when cornering.. So naturally with its wider tires too u can take corner way wan more faster.

Haha.. Balls too big.. then after take 1 corner too fast ady balls shrink to peanut dust size.. Cos going uphill mah.. If going uphill no probs taking corners at faster speed cos if u spin just ease off throttle and counter steer can bring u back to the right angle.

The feeling of ur car surging forward have an easy explanation; when the air cond compressor kicks in, it draws power from the engine. In order to compensate for the power loss, our car's engine work harder to balance out the RPM to prevent itself from stalling. When the RPM goes up while ur gear is in D, the power is actually enough to push ur car forward a little.

That's the simplest explanation I can put in words.. Hope that helps.

Yea, just slot in. As easy as 1,2,3.

1. Unhook the latch on the air filter box and lift the cover.
2. Swap out the stock paper filter with Simota's air filter.
3. Cover the air filter box back, lock the latch.

Done.

U go service at 20kms interval also they'll change Ur air filter wan.. Not worth it la use paper filter.
