In an event of an emergency when the driver panics, full brake force is applied, locking the tyres and in cases may cause skidding. They invented ABS so that when this happens, the brake force is removed and reapplied when the tyres lock, even when the brake pedal is still completely pressed.
Because wider tyres provide more surface contact and gives u more traction. Not to say that u'll never experience it, but it'll be less often. And it's a feel, not sound. Yes it works that way.. Because ABS works in a way that it frees up ur tyres when it's locked, and then apply braking force again.. It's the same as u pumping ur brake repeatedly, rapidly. When ur tyres lock, try to release the brake, then slowly step on the brake again. Of course, in an event of emergency, there's too little time for u to do that. That's why they invented the ABS system.

Oic..... thanks for the explanation.. cos i did feel the car tapping .. but never really felt like the whole car vibrate.. only felt the tap on the pedal when hit the brake fast... maybe i m not driving fast enuff hehe

If u brake on paint surfaces (like before a toll, SmartTAG/Touch N Go lanes) and the ABS works then u'll feel the car vibrate a bit..

Yaay! I finally bought the 3.5mm male to male connector for my iPod. It works! The only setback is i'll have to crank up the volume to about 20 and also put my iPod at the loudest volume. Additionally, i can't use the buttons on the steering wheel to change (which is fine with me).
I only spent RM5 to get the connector..kekeek...luckily don't need to buy from apple
