Trivium - Ascendancy
Genre : Metal/Metalcore/whatever they just rock
Review : Dont be put off by the metalcore tag that some associate them with, cos this band will kick everyone's asses inside out.
Dont ever compare them to killswitch engage either, cos trivium will just chew them up, regurgigate and re-chew them up again.
Soundwise, they basically borrow (ripoff) from bands as diverse as iron maiden to metallica, not bad for a band who all were not of legal drinking age when they recorded their 1st album.
i say if you're going to ripoff your heroes, must as well do it so it sounds unique, and that they do quite well on this their 2nd album.
'pull harder on the strings of your martyr' is destined to be a classic before the year is over.
and watch out for the soon to be released single 'a gunshot to the head of trepidation'.
recently conquering donnington, as well as the metal hammer awards show, looks like theres nothing that can stop trivium.
not even another hurricane.

if not mistaken, they're now located in plaza ampang.
basically 5min walk from ampang park lrt.
but i heard you now need to make appointments to go there, since hes not always open.
