The first thing for you to do is to upgrade to the latest 2.1.A.0.435 Firmware via PC Companion.

I'll be posting up a guide on boosting stock firmware performance soon.  icon_rolleyes.gif

hey, just bought my x10 a week ago, i fully charge it to 100%, and after just around 2 hours, the battery drop 5%!!!! didnt use the phone at all at those 2 hours, no wifi on, no gprs is on, no sms come, just nothing! and it dropped 5%! i thought normally if you left it idle, without wifi or gprs activated, it would only drop 1% each hour? should i calibrate my phone battery? pls advise....

i went to shop today as i can't tolerate with the short life of the battery. Usually my battery last atmost 24 hours without any activities such as online surfing, sms, calls, games, taking pictures and 3G wifi gps all off-ed etc etc,and around 2 to 4% drop perhour without any activities and 0 brightness. when i use gps, it drains my battery drastically. not even last for 12 hours if i use PAPAGO. Thus i went and tell the shopkeeper and he said alot of X10's batteries are faulty so he asked me to give him the battery and claim the warranty. that's what i experienced. so now will wait till the new battery arrived and see how it's function.

Btw my X10 is frm midland. two months old >.<

same, mine from midland too sad.gif

and my battery is only around 1 week old, does this only occur on us? i mean the quick battery draining, or it's the same for everyone else?

and this:

BATTERY
Standard battery, Li-Po 1500 mAh (BST-41)
Stand-by Up to 415 h (2G) / Up to 425 h (3G)
Talk time Up to 10 h (2G) / Up to 8 h (3G)

415 hours??!?!?!?!?!

that is 17 days!!! lol!!!! but our phone...... it's not more than 2 days

but doesnt matter whether it last 1 day or 2, does it really harm the battery by doing a daily full charge?

No it doesn't harm your battery..

Check at Settings>About Phone>Battery
It will show you what software/process is using the battery.

For battery that it less than 2weeks old (new)....
keyword - full cycle charging at least 3-5 times before it can perform to its max capacity....

u should also google how to improve battery life for X10...
there's a lot out there... just type "improve battery X10" and press enter

That's if the phone is carrier locked. But can be solved by flashing Global Generic 2.1.A.0.435 Firmware. I think so?

out of curiosity, i set my phone to normal standby..
no data connection, no calls and no sms...

1% lasted for 4hours!! wow... that really shows how data connection eats ur battery a lot cos i normally get max 1-1.5% per hour...
