btw: root is not "upgrade firmware".. root is like jailbreak for iphone...

nak pakai craked version boleh.. tp sini takleh diskas, tu jer... so pandai2 sendiri la google search...

u need to root and use marketenabler.... buy paid apps using Paypal or Googlecheckout.. but need to use credit card la, and it hard to find someone in todays world that doesnt hav credit card... even the rich people have them....

i charge rm150 (100 for service, 25 for postage and another 25 for malaysian/service tax).. u want? if u think thats too much, i suggest u read first page on this thread... keyword is, FLASHTOOL and Xrecovery... the custom rom is also available in first page...
or wait till end of JUNE/July for official 2.3 update by SE....

Not sure bout Fruit Ninja, but I play Fruit Slice and the single finger slice works just as good and precise...
but still, two fingers wont be recognised... hardware issue...

incall voice.. thats normal.. u'll get used to it like evry1 else...

bro.. hav u try redownloading the generic rom or any others that is available... the one u hav might be corrupted...
it seems to hav problem when tryin to flash the system.sin files...

ok.. now ur phone is all ok, right? just like i told ur.. SEPC is a savior for all firmware error...

however, the symptom on ur pc is showing that the installed x10 driver on ur pc might not working as it should...

if u have the guts to do it again, which i believe u will, connect ur current phone to ur pc.. make sure all drivers are automatically installed on ur pc...
take note of the usb port u use... sometime, ur pc might only recognise ur phone on this particular port ONLY...
once evrything confirm to be working fine, then try flashing ur phone using flashtool again..
(redownload the custom firmware again... the one u have could be corrupted too...)

also, why dont try install Flashtool on ur office pc.. im sure it will work...

dont worry.. x10 bootloader is lock by default...there is no way u can brick ur phone when using flashtool...

i bet u'll be glad u followed our advice by going custom firmware...

most livewallpaper will affect ur phone performance in general...
some are quite ok..
my advice- avoid them if performance is important to u

md5 checksum error? maybe due to base rom is not the same version as the one u use to install ur backup rom last time...

cos if im not mistaken, i did try restoring a backup of custom rom directly after i install a stock rom (2.0.2.A.0.24 bb49).. no error... cos i always use this version as my base...

or maybe i was wrong... cos too many flashing done.. hehehe...

btw, renaming the backup folder in xrecovery wont make any difference...
i always rename it for easy reference and no issue with restoration...

u dont like the black menu? its default for froyo... cannot change...
unless u use MIUI firmware la...

MIUI is getting more popular nowadays with X10 users worldwide....
cant wait for the gingerbread version fully stable and functional....

and for those who doesnt know... should giv it a try..
it has lotsa preinstalled function that other roms need to get/buy from market, which sometimes doesnt really work...

i must say, its the best and fun rom ever for my X10 so far..

but if u hate Iphone style and look, then too bad...MIUI is inspired by iOS ... specially the dialler....

root will only do u good than bad..
if u ever need to revert back to standard (warranty claim), just do a repair using SEPC.. works evrytime...
so far, never heard phone goes kapoot because of root...

last i checkk, Z4root doest really work anymore.. but not sure if they hav latest version la..
cos i cannot find any reason to UNRoot yet...

to answer ur question, i suggest u read more on Flashtool 0.2.9.. this is wayyyyy better than SEPC...

hahah...til today, i still wonder why u guys hav to take things personally with this guy...as if u know him personally...
take it from the developer point of view.. all ur hardwork preparing a rom, suddenly some nutty guys badmouth ur work, how would u feel?

chill out ..from how i see it, we're the one who benefits from their hardwork...
be it trip's, wolf's,rdannar, z an j's to name a few... and it didnt cost us a single cents..

in my case, i just favor MIUI... i dont giv a rats ass who cooked it....

but trip's newest Arc rom... the Bravia engine looks good.. i just hope he can port the same feature in a MIUI...

Anyway, can any1 confirm that x10 can play large size mp4 movies? I know dat the stock rom takes 720p videos in mp4 format, but I've been trying quite a number of different custom rom, all of them got issue when playing my mp4 movies.. picture not rili smooth..sound too.. mobo player also cannot help... is it becos all custom froyo video decoder not fully cracked yet?

best person to answer ur question is those big shots in SE... u wont get ur answer here no matter how many time u asked ..

USB tethering definitely not...

but on stock 2.1 rom (rooted of cos), i was able to setup wifi tethering using barnacle (free apps from market)..
then my laptop successfully connect to my phone wifi and surf... tried it once only, just for testing purposes...
try googling around for more confirmation from worldwide user....
