i based on charging icon that on stanby screen which from 5% to 100%. it may vary from user to user as there are apps that running at background

3G mean 3rd Generation mobile network and SGA doesn't support video call. by right your should check it before you buy it

i don't think SOD related to firmware as majority of us, doesn't affected by SOD.

Please send it to service center if SOD frequent happening.

go download Move2SD Enabler but dont move ur phone original app as no one will know what will happen if moved.

Unless you want to try it

the simple way setting>cd card and phone storage>unmount SD card

then take it out your memory card( Micro SD card), put in memory card adapter then memory card reader.

OR

connect your phone to your pc, then go to setting>Application>Developement>turn off USB debugging mode

thengo to front page a android usb will pop out asking you do you want to turn on your storage usb storage.

press it and press ok. and and and and then wait till a drive / a pop out window asking do you want to open the drive.

-go to APN type and choose MMS only
-go to setting>wireless network>mobiles network >tick use packet data.

if you seriously wanna send the email, send it to SME and and a copy to official samsung korea website

how about try this
all user that SOD problem listed out all the application their using
state the phone memory&ram usage that right before SOD happen
does they turn on wifi for pro long period

what brand and class the memory card that they used

For short. rooting let you gain access administrator right that is locked by the phone company by default. by rooting let you able to modify the system which suppose to be locked to avoid people mess up the system and render it useless.
The most common thing for people to root it is for moving those app/games that can't be moved to memory card by default which.eat up main storage which is phone inner storage. some people wanted to used custom/personnel rom that suite their usage and even some people want to use custom theme for the phone. by right, for those don't know to use it should avoid it as it will void your phone warrany if you mess up. You no need to root if you are a normal users.

Add on: even if you moved your application to your memory card doesn't mean will free up all the phone memory as there will be package data left over at phone memory for it to run.

This is what I know about rooting. it may vary from the actual info

Of course that they need to do that as they need to know what causing it for future preference. Cause it not happened on every sga unit only some of it.

if wildfire, why don't try SE x10 second handed since it is gettin android 2.3 at june?

i excluded default application that come with SGA itself as majority ppl doesn't suffer SOD

i try to run the ram to maximum, open wifi more than 18hours continues, multi-taksing and yet it still didn't SOD.

i put it on auto sync 24/7

it is the same way as rooting. just press unroot
