I need advice from the member Below the plan for the Kitchen concrete top will standard 2 stand at each end (Black block), but the contractor advise me to put addition one stand (Red) if plan to “Chop” chicken or whatever, to prevent the heavy pressure which cause the concrete fall down or break. Put personally I guess it no sense to have additional stand due to “Chop” and will caused problem? Is existing kitchen cabinet owner having 2 stand or 3 stand? If indeed need additional stand, is that the good position to put?

QUOTE(bigmamma @ Apr 15 2011, 09:51 PM) Mine 15 ft without stand at all. As my concrete top does not use brc. The whole 15 ft is suspended onto the wall with iron rods as structure instead of brc. Concept is just like beam. Very nice without stand but price wise is much higher. Guess one reason was not to break off my wall tiles too...hence can't do like yours. You replace the wall tiles?

hahaha.... It may end up more than 10 pcs need to be replaced. Let check with the contractor to have additional stand instead of breaking my tiles. Added on May 8, 2011, 9:45 pmOK, have check with the contractor. It seem like it still need to break my wall tiles to put the but he still advised better don't chop chicken (advised)...and take own rest Even if he put lot of rods but the pressure on the concreate will remain lol. ANyhow we have decided put additonal short stand beam near the cooking hob area but will not visiable from outside. This post has been edited by Jo_da48: May 8 2011, 09:45 PM
