Can i use this on my Astro Beyond? If yes, can i remote control my decoder outside the living room from the receiver?

Yes, this item is mainly for you to wireless transmit any full HD HDMI form of source, example: your laptop or PC with HDMI output, satelite decoder with HDMI output, game console, bluray player....etc.
You can even remote control the source.
