Hi,
I'm considering between N53SN and U41SV.
N53SN (I know it's going to EOL, or have already been) has i7, but the U41SV has portability.
What I would like to know is, if I were to play games (NFS, COD, Crysis etc...) as well as doing a lot of 3D and 2D works (3Ds max, photoshop, CAD programs...), which one is more considerable?
I'm okay with the price, and the size of N53SN not really a matter to me. Will the performance of these two machines be different noticeably?
*Anyone heard of any upcoming N53Sn replacement?

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ May 9 2011, 09:28 PM) Yes, Asus's international warranty can really come in handy hehe Well I don't think we can say Asus is slowpoke because they purposely distribute different models with different specs to different countries based on the estimated market demands... We can only blame Asus for being stupid and not bringing in the Full HD version of the N53Sv.... and also the N43Sn Anyway, Singapore also have the Full HD, i7 version of the N53Sv Okay, ASUS is stupid lol, but who decides the distribution of models like what you said? ASUS Taiwan? How's Singapore's prices?

QUOTE(pandera999 @ May 10 2011, 01:09 PM) should be asus distributor here isnt it... singapore price in singapore dollar lo but sure expensive a lil la in terms of currency exchange. LOL coz i might be going down SG next month, if the price is cheaper then I don't mind.... hmm but it's more expensive then no point lor. It's either ASUS distributors don't request higher end models, or ASUS themselves do not provide high end products to Malaysia market... I wonder which..

Turboboost only kick in when it is using less than maximum core, ie, only using one core for i5.

QUOTE(pandera999 @ May 17 2011, 03:17 PM) use 1 out of 4 core, then can feel the different using turbo boost It has its limitations, heat and stuff. If the program utilise multi core processing, it'll be faster than one core with higher clock.

Can't you just enable 3D in your tv directly? I don't think you need to do any settings on the game itself...
