Later ill give my thoughts about this laptop.

but for now, id say, I love the keyboard! <3
at first, the non chiclet keyboards draw me back.. but after using the keyboard, i kinda love it lol. the keyboard feels more like dekstop keyboard instead of normal laptop
its a lil deeper when pressed.
Oh and yeah, B & O speaker is quite nice. id say, pretty good for laptop. but only few hint of bass can be heard.

It has Optimus. thats all for now, imma tell more soon after i played around with this new baby. haha

Yeah, I know what you mean about the keyboard.... I was initially rather upset when I tried the N53 laptop's keyboard... the flexes doesn't really inspire confidence
But since the keyboard of the N43 is much smaller, the flexes were less tangible
I even like how its non-chiclet style... I think I type much better on it.... the buttons are huge, and makes touch typing easier and more accurate

Did anyone of you with the N53SN (w GT550 GPU) experience lagging during normal operations?

I mean, it happened to my girl's N53.
It lagged all a sudden randomly without even performing any heavy tasks.
Can anyone explain to me why this happens and how do I solve this problem?

She's starting to get frustrated with this =/

5 DVDs of recovery, And ALOT of bloatware. Asus is sure a Bloatware-loving company.

Im still collecting data for this laptop . (temp while game, idle etc etc)

i never copy the recovery.. and it takes a lots of time

i have the same problem! my BC2 has been lagging up recently. at first i thought it was the wireless but i tried with cable and its still the same.

i suspect its the gpu driver It was running smoothly before my update. It could be other issues but i cant think of anything else i changed/updated.

Or is it a dust/heat issue? My laptop is about 5 months old only. Temp after 1-2 hours playing is 70-80

I found 1 thing cacated which is e-driver.. before i run edriver, everything works good.. and no lags in game.
but when i run e-driver, the program recomend me to install ATK, and 2 item i cant remember.. not a bloatware for sure.. I thought it was update..
But after i ran the program, my system gone crazy lol.

Atk 0100 not found.
p4g can be run in asus only..
and few more errors show everytime i restart pc..

and i played mw2, happen to have a lot of lagspike. ( on gt540)..

so i restore back to the time where i dint install the e-driver.. everything went back normal >.>
anyone know what causes it? or its simply a bug from e-driver?

juz sharing my experience
yesterday, i'm having lag problem while playing games...
and i though it cause by my new adapter...
finally i figure that external HDD makes the game lag (frame skip, not low FPS)
even thou my games is installed in my local disk, and not in the external HDD..

gt update the OS? mine oso like that last time.. ATK not foud.. update OS, ok o'd..

all of the games lag...
after remove the HDD, problem solve...

try check @ asus website the latest bios and what is fix..
lately i hving same problems when playing games..and after updated my bios, the problem gone..
