Haha I found the latest product catalog from ASUS, there's a new N53SV with i7 processor!
I think it was the same as N53SN, not sure what's exactly changed.

And G53SW is just RM4999! Tempted...

Anyway, who knows who's the distributor for ASUS? Why always no stock one =(

Abit disappointing I would say... seems like JBL and harman/kardon are still leading the pack at the moment 
Anyone tried comparing the Toshiba NB520's harman/kardon to the B&O in Asus N series? I think the former sounds way better

Just bought it yesterday at lowyat and now doing a clean install,
The support drivers seems abit messed p since the bluetooth driver for my model is in the wireless section instead of the bluetooth one (With a wrong name summore), 
And for some reason i can't find the sonic focus software anywhere on google nor asus's website, anyone care to help abit on this?

1. The system bios showed my model as A53SV, Asus's own support website also automatically detected mine as the same model as well
2. If you're talking updating your current stock windows to sp1 then i don't see why you can't, just use windows update la. Cheers~
3. I bought it for 2260, not the best price you can find i think but for this much performance (crysis 2 @ 30fps medium  ) Well worth the money already for me.

Model Asus U41SV

Anyone experience this with their kensington lock?
I've only used it under normal application for less than 10 times; no excessive pulling or dragging or any theft case but yet this happened.
Emailed to asus and below is their reply:

We apologize for what you are facing at the moment.
From the picture, the damage seems to be caused when inserting and pulling the Kensington lock. The lock is suppose to be securely holding on to the metal holder inside instead of the plastic itself. As for the dented areas of the casing, it also seems to be knocks from trying to insert the Kesington lock.
We are sorry but cases like this will not be included under warranty repair.

That's bull.

I've run OCCT's PSU test, which combines Furmark and Linpack; for 24 hours non-stop on my K42Jr when I first got it.
That's with the crappy Singapore weather, and in a non-air conditioned room.

It survived just fine.

Still surviving today.

I don't see why a cooling pad is needed.

It will enhance the cooling IF you buy the correct model and type, but not buying one won't cause the laptop to die.

If a laptop has to rely on a cooling pad in order to live past a few months, then laptops will COME with cooling pads.

=.=... why so less.... swt..... the felar tht owns the a43sv i7 version name is alucard.... u can find post around here... he said it could last 4 hours on minimum brightness...

ohohoh.. sorry... nw i rmb..... a series right.... gt diff version of battery de.... some of them use larger cpacity battery.... your fren should be normal version battery i think...
