QUOTE(thieflord @ Apr 20 2011, 06:59 PM) not ok.. delete the old onealso, when installing a new driver, choose "custom install" then tick "perform clean install" we used to go to safe mode to delete an old driver then only we would install the new driver. but now it comes with this "perform clean install" , so we don't need to delete the old driver in safe mode. |

but the good way to install a new driver is to thoroughly uninstall the old driver to avoid conflict. that's why there is an option of "perform clean install". it thoroughly removes the old files from the old driver.

Nope, still using the 270.51 beta. Unless the WHQL gives a lot of improvement or stability, I usually don't upgrade.

i prefer to do the clean way since that can eliminate one potential problem should anything screw up and needs to be fixed... |
