My Razer Onza's left stick malfunctioned after 2 months! Anyone knows how can I claim for warranty if I bought it from Razer Store?

I emailed Razerzone support already. Waiting for their reply.

Do I have to pay for the shipping?

yes u have to pay the charges, and iirc, shipping charges back and forth to HK comes up to around rm50 total.

Normally they will ask you to send Razer AP in Singapore. If you are planning to ship there, it may cost a boom smile.gif
If razer support approved for RMA, they will send you a RMA code via your email and attach with the RMA code together with the faulty product.

OMG. blink.gif So I have to pay RM50 for "warrantying" a RM130 controller? icon_question.gif

well, that's the risk you take by buying them urself rather than thru the official distributor.
applies to everything anyway from handphones, cameras etc.
really not worth the hassle just to save abit.

The real risk is not buying from Razer but buying Razer branded controller. I am rather disappointed that it developed problem after 2 months and I dont even use it frequently.

There is an advantage too such as once you are approved for RMA, immediately they will send the a new replacement unit next day after received the defect units. They use Fedex for shipping so approximately 1 day working to reach your house. No need like waiting couple of weeks or months for local warranty. This is what i had experienced before.

Which product you warrantied before?

Razer support just replied my email saying either I can cut my Onza controller and send the photo or I can go for traditional RMA.

Anyone experience this before?

As for Razer Onza case, the RMA process have 2 type, one is traditional another is to cut the cord and show picture of the cord and serial number.

1. Traditional, send back your Onza, get replacement

2. Cut the Onza cord, take picture of the cord and serial number and email them. Then they will send a replacement. You get to keep the defect one and get a new one.

Why?

They never tell anything. But I assume, that they don't need the defect unit. So they just simply send you a new one. The cutting procedure is just for them to make sure your Onza is genuinely defected as your claim, because once you cut the Onza cord, it will be done for.

Or they themselves are aware that their Onza has manufacturing defects. Is the shipping for replacement is free?

But I followed their instruction and potong already. No need to send back right?
