Guys,

My kitchen cabinet will be installed next thursday. After sort out all the appliances (hobs, hood, oven, sink, etc), now it comes down to the spotlight. Plan to install this at the bottom of the wall cabinet to light up the worktop area. My only problem with the one recommend by the kitchen shop is the size and power of the florescent bulb, which is too small to light up the worktop area. They have the halogen option, but it's gonna take 2 inch of the interior space cabinet., furthermore, the lifetime of the halogen is not as long as the florescent one.

Was thinking of some other alternative options. Can you guys share how you did yours? Is there some option which allow you to just fix and power up the light with battery instead of from the power supply?
