Do it in the following way: Unmount your current SDCard. (Setting > Storage > Unmount SD Card) Take it out, put the new one in Let the system detect the card, and usually will auto-mount it. Unmount it, and press 'Format SDCard' It'll auto mount after formatting. Use any method that you prefer, to transfer ALL the data from OLD SDCARD to NEW SDCARD. Since I already had my data's in my PC, I unmounted the card and put into a card reader, for a faster transfer. When you are prompted to replace ANY files, DO NOT replace!! DO NOT replace any files / folder at all!! You have done copying the old files to NEW SDCard, put it back to your phone and mount it, if you have to. Enjoy! But if you want to copy files from your previous card into the new one: Here's what i did, and what i advised others to: 1. put the old card in your phone 2. batch backup your apps using titanium backup 3. put the card into your phone. 4. copy the files from your previous card into your pc/laptop. 5. remove the new card from the phone and copy the files from your laptop/pc to the card. 6. Here's an example of list of files NOT TO BE COPIED. - .adobe-digital-editions - .android_secure - . data - Android - .bookmark_thumb or vice versa BASICALLY THESE ARE FILES PRODUCED BY THE PHONE ITSELF WHEN YOU INSTALL APPS. DONT COPY THEM. LET THE PHONE REMAKE THESE FOLDERS BY ITSELF. 7. Files that can/should be copied: Music ClockworkMod (must copy - due to your backup files) Titaniumbackup (must copy - due to your backup files) Whatsapp DCIM Videos (if you have them) 8. This is because if you missed any apps or data that you saved, you can restore using Titanium Backup. and this will automatically rewrite the folders automatically without any errors nor mistakes. Author's Note: This is what i did and other customers tested ok on HTC Desire HDs. I have no guarantee that it'll work for you. Just a reminder. Use the Desire HD until the battery totally flat and auto off. 2. Turn it ON and Charge for 8 hours or more with wall charger. 3. Unplug the device and Turn the phone OFF and charge for 1 hour. 4. Unplug the device Turn ON wait 2 minutes and Turn OFF and charge for another hour. 5. Use the Desire HD until the battery totally flat and auto off. 6. Turn it ON and Charge until full (NO NEED to charge for 8 hours again). Steps 2-4 is the original steps. My DHD battery life is still the same as before after step 4. Only after I did step 5 and 6 the battery become super long lasting. Desire HD Camera guide » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « The following is a quick version of this guide, each setting is later explored in details. * Manually set your focus, wait for the focus signal to turn green, keep your hand steady until the shot is taken (keep it till the preview appears) * Make sure the camera protection glass is wiped clean * To fix image quality: Disable digital sharpness so it’s set to -2 or reduce it to -1 if you feel its too soft but never sharpness 0, or you can later increase sharpness using external apps. * To fix the video recording freezes: update to firmware 1.72 also make sure no apps are busy in the background (i.e. skype) * To fix low light bad video FPS: reduce the exposure setting to -2, it will go up to 30fps, use the flash to boost the brightness back. * To fix the green tint caused by the flash: set white balance to Fluorescent. * To fix the changing colors while recording video indoors: set the white balance manualy. Auto is good during daylight but jumpy indoors. * Higher ISO will always boost the camera available light, so higher ISO improves frame rate, reduces motion blur and reveals more detail in darkness. However keep in mind higher ISO will reduce image quality since it introduces noise to the image. I did rewrite some part to make it more understandable, and include some missed steps. About: The problems started when HTC released their 1.84xxxx OTA update. That update could not be rooted, and many people got stuck in stock roms. Now a downgrade method has arrived! After this process, you can use any root (+ S-OFF) method you want. Basically your device will be just like any other Desire HD with OLDER BUILD VERSION. System requirements: HTC Sync (or ADB drivers) Desire HD with build number 1.72 or higher (1.84) How to downgrade: IF you have a branded device, you have to make a Goldcard. Use "mmc2", IF you dont have a branded device, Use "mmc1" Digi machine is branded, so use "mmc2" and needed to make a GOLDCARD, check post 2. Let's Begin, Download the Downgrade ZIP and extract it in c:\ (C:\Downgrade) Get stock 1.32 PD98IMG.zip ROM Connect Desire HD to a computer. Charge only, USB Debugging enabled! Why? -- Just like your first boot, it takes some time before you can boot into the homescreen after flashing the theme. Be patience. Normally takes 30seconds ~ 2 minutes. After waiting for so long (5minutes++), still stuck at boot animation.. help! -- Most likely that you've flashed the wrong theme or flashed wrongly. Did you flashed the theme RIGHT AFTER the ROM? Yes, I flashed the Theme directly after the ROM -- As I've mentioned, please do a full boot after installing the ROM, before flashing any themes. Do a full wipe (if preferred), reinstall the ROM, do a full boot, reboot into recovery, and flash the theme again.
