hi,
I have two astro accounts (SD) previously, now wanna upgrade one of it to B.yond.
They came to change satellite dish and one decoder.
Prob is now old astro decoder(SD) cannot receive signal at all.
However, if you use B.yond decoder, signal is very strong.
I called Astro and they told me my old decoder can still work with new satellite dish.
Anyone has encountered a similar problem?
Astro's solution to me is that I change my other decoder to B.yond as well, but my that TV don't have HDMI. Then they say once i change my decoder, have to get the HD channels too.
Why are they forcing me to get HD when my TV can't support HD? What about those new accounts who subscribe to normal SD astro?
Thanks.
Astro called and suggested I upgraded to Beyond even I am only using conventional TV with no additional cost, they also claimed that if I am not interested in HD package, I can call to cancel it after settled the first HD bill which is +rm20 and they will deduct the rm20 on the next bill. But after a month of usage when I called them to cancel, they said that I can only cancel after 1 year due to 1 year commitment contract which I have never signed on before or after the installation. I told them to check back with the staff who called me and suggested me to upgrade to Byond and also claimed that I can cancel the HD package anytime after settling the first HD bill. I also told them if they insisted that I can only cancel after a year, then I will rather terminate the service and they can collect back the Beyond decoder anytime. They called the next day and informed me that my HD service is cancelled and problem solved..hope this help.. I have two astro accounts (SD) previously, now wanna upgrade one of it to B.yond.
