Hi all,

I know there are threads about the equipments for extending B.yond signal to another TV.
But I would like to know if can I just buy a HDMI splitter like the one used at electrical shops?
I don't mind not being able to change channel from other room.
The problem is, are there any HDMI cable that is 20ft-30ft long exist in the market?

Thank you in advance. smile.gif

There is  a bit of nuisance with it Bro. Here is my experience.I tried the splitter  one in two out. My hall Tv is linked to HTS while  the room is on its own. Watching both video together no problem. When u adjust ur room TV volume the HTS to increases ! The room tv no sound until u off the HTS,Its just too complicated. Each time u hv to off here and there. Then when u off ,comes the problem of resetting stereo or 5.1 sound on your beyond for room tv to get sound. All I wish they just had a F...... switch  to enable  one or both the TVs,so think before u get one,I lost almost  RM400,incl. a 10m HDMI cable !End of the day its back as usual with the faithfull composite cables!! hmm.gif  Maybe some seniors here do hv  a solution for this.

Lesson learned... thanks smileguy... notworthy.gif
I think that is another kind that uses wireless transmitter, maybe it is better, but sure will cost a lot more... sad.gif

Thanks for the latest news.... rclxms.gif

I don't know what problem with the site (or me)?

Downloaded it's mobile App but was unable to login as it say I need to link my account.
I remember I was previously linked my subscription with Astro web site before.
Anyway, I try to link it again but failed!
Despite I confirmed I entered everything correctly, the site always said I entered my Astro account number incorrectly... mad.gif
I tried many times with all browsers I had (Chrome, Firefox, IE), so what's the problem here?

Assthrow only eyes on $$$ and leave those so called improvement to those Indian software writers.  Good example is those normal byond with external HDD PVR function which is hardly stable.

Until now I don't see any new HD channels at the EPG and no annoucement at Assthrow website. Could it be a hoax?
*
I agreed their web site is quite confusing and hard to browse... shakehead.gif
New HD channel? Maybe after 12am? We will see.... whistling.gif
Anyway, last time I saw they said 11th July, but some people here said 1st July? blush.gif

Anyone using this remote control function?
http://www.astro.com.my/byond/articles/art_5379.html
I'm stuck in Step 2, can't link with Astro account.
*
I had the exact same problem like yours... sad.gif
Cannot link account, even if I tried a thousand times and confirmed everything was correct, the error message always wrong account number entered!
I even sent them email, call Astro CS... until now they still can't solve the problem!

BTW, I have 2 Astro account on different installation address under my name, I wonder if this is the culprit? How many account you have under your name?

One of the reply I got from the email as below:
QUOTE
Please be advised that our unit in charge reverted to us that you have registered Account number xxxxx111 via ASTRO website but the Acoount number that you were trying to link is different Account xxxxx032. That is the reason you were unable to link your account.

xxxxx111 may be the account number installed at my parents house.
xxxxx032 is my own account number.

Nothing to do with browsers, I tried Firefox, IE, Google Chrome all failed to link my account.

After calling Astro CS and several back and forth email conversation with Astro "wecare" address, below is what I got from the last message dated 11th July 2011:
QUOTE
Please be advised that our unit in charge reverted to us that there is an issue with some of the data currently and will be notified once the issue has been fixed.

Hi all,

For those who had the dilemma of connecting Astro B.yond's coaxial digital out to their receiver that only support optical (Toslink), like I had before...
Just purchase this little device that will convert from coaxial to optical, so no more headache whether to change your receiver. laugh.gif

Coaxial to Optical Digital Audio Converter

This device even come with DC adapter (support 110~240V AC).
It worked as advertised, but you will need a Toslink cable and a Coaxial cable to connect it. smile.gif

EDIT: I bought this from Amazon, I don't know if I am allowed to add the link here.
But for those who are interest, just do a search at Amazon.
I bought it for USD17.81

Opps... you also need a US -> UK plug converter... laugh.gif

Guys, I just subscribed to Astro Byond, as I'm a big fan of korean dramas, most of the time I tune into S.One Channel...393.

but the major problem is, that the people mouth doesn't syncs properly with the audio. I have tried setting the AUDIO DELAY in USER SETTINGS...but nothing can be done....I've tried the lowest delay and longest delay..but it is still the same.
*
I connect using HDMI cable, never had any audio sync problem~ hmm.gif
Also no problem on digital out to home theater system~ huh.gif
My wife also a big fans of 393~ biggrin.gif

Are you sure, try looking at their lips carefully, it doesn't syncs really well with their voice, somehow the lips finishes first than the mouth.
*
Yup! I just tried looked at it carefully again, audio/lip sync is normal (or should I say perfect?)... biggrin.gif
By the way, I never touch the audio delay setting, I leave it at default. smile.gif

Hi all,

Does anyone know why sometimes the show's "progress bar" is green line, and sometimes it's red+green line? (red line below the green line)

You can see it when press [OK] on the remote and the "progress bar" in the banner.

I'm using Beyond PVR, is there anything to do with the "hard disk cache"?

Thanks! smile.gif

The red bar indicates how much of the programme is stored in the hard disk buffer.
