If u see in the first game,
Idra was leading most of the time even though on more bases and much faster unit regrouping and strong macro.
But MC still stomp him like they were even or much further ahead. That's probably why he go for 6 pool especially Xel naga a 1 v 1 map which obviously not much Idra could do.
what, having his queens roflstomped is leading? mid ish game yeah, but never "most of the time"
oh "come back to the come back to the comeback to the come back"

i dun think u realize idra changed a lot...
his recent games are a beauty to watch especially due to his insanely good mechanics...
he did bling drop, the +1speedling build, hydra drop etc...
and look at his game 1 gosu overlord creep spread to reinforce his first attack...
honestly game1 idra had it if he hadnt gotten too greedy with his BL out of space...
as for 6pool...
actionjesus = 6pooled to 3.4k master...
it have almsot 80% win rate in ZvP from TL survey though good toss like MC would be able to handle it accordingly...
yeah he actually changed a lot. i mean, he actually got a fighter pose instead of just standing there. i was fairly surprised.
seriously though, idra is known for his macro, and he still is more comfortable on playing macro. yes, i think anyone would've known that idra felt hopeless against MC, especially how it ended in game 1. point being people perceived him being "serious" for his 6 pool when looking from the bigger picture, idra in a way pretty much gave up hope. hell, you said it yourself that most high level plays no longer involve allins/rush/cheese. all involved long macros. and no doubt players the caliber of MC should be able to handle cheese/rush/allins etc without too much issue. he scouted the pool before the lings are at his doorstep after all giving him time to plan out/prepare on what to do.
