QUOTE(ckuanglim @ Oct 6 2011, 09:31 AM) Why I haven't receive the new Visa Plat Card? The online system already showing that my card is Visa Plat. Everyone will get a new card for replacement? u will get 1-2 months before ur expiry month. example ur card expiry 12/16 then u should received ur card this month or next month. QUOTE(lowyatben @ Oct 7 2011, 05:55 AM) Hi, any of you managed to get the GST waived? I contacted HSBC but was told that I still need to settle it even if I cancelled my card since it's already been billed. I was informed that some other banks offered to waive the GST but no luck for me with HSBC Thanks in advance. hsbc charged gst usually 1 month after annivessary. so probably getting waived is almost impossible. why u not cancelling ur card earlier?

QUOTE(ronaldjoe @ Oct 10 2011, 10:49 PM) I am cancelling mine as well. Customer service is relatively poor vs some other banks. Benefits r so-so. Redeemed 100K+ points after 1 year+ of usage. Bye bye HSBC 12,500 points for rm50 cashback. so u can get at least rm400 i'm using hsbc since 2006 if not mistaken. previously all cashback promo i got it. but latest raya campaign, from rm50 max, i can only 'win' rm12

there is no debit card and credit card for students in malaysia, only singapore (for debit card, while other bank do offer credit card for students).
unless, he/she working part-time, have salary slip at least rm2k/month, then can apply.

no hsbc debit card in malaysia (but in singapore yes). no credit card for students in malaysia, but there are certain bank in singapore offer this (credit card for students). here in malaysia, min salary to apply credit card is rm2k/month. so if student can provide salary slip with that amount, then can apply for cc. i prefer they give rm50 cash credited to statement rather than AA voucher. besides, swipes rm150x2 in a week is not easy, unless, u buy something u want, not something u need

QUOTE(Sitting Duck @ Oct 25 2011, 11:05 AM) Hi All, I don't understand the HSBC 6% cash back thingy. So I have to spent RM3000 on grocery + petrol before I can get 6% cash back? and If I spent RM3000 on 15/10, so I have 15/10 - 14/11 to accumulate the 6% cash back (up to RM50 on grocery and petrol only?) or 15/10 till 31/10? Kinda of confusing, can't find much information on HSBC website. Thanks. 1st, the 6% is only for m-power platinum card. 2nd, petrol only shell, caltex & petronas while groceries only tesco, giant & carrefour. 3rd, spend per calendar month, so the answer for ur question is till 31/10. more info - http://www.hsbc.com.my/1/PA_1_1_S5/content...eries_promo.pdf
