i recently got this HSBC Amanah Platinum

i applied it during PC Fair....thought for fun only

and it approved.....the sales guy told me i only need to swipe 3 times in order to waive the RM50 GST....how true? anyone?

so what this card can do for me? seem only 0.5% rebate just like any maybank card which give u back 0.5%
upside groceries can rebate up to 3% better than citibank plat cash back. (normal spending for normal ppl, 6% for 3k? crazy)
*
You will see a RM50 credited to your account on your 2nd bill. I got mine already.

But Im guessing it is only for the first year. I also simply apply because the salesman said got GST waiver and easily can approve to get a platinum card.

That day I went to Overtime wanted to whip out my HSBC Amanah Plat but then I thought sure cannot go through so I used my other card.
Anyone here managed to use an Amanah card at drinking place?

Of course cannot...the transactions would decline. That's why I don't get such cards.

Many years ago HSBC cards hav many privileges. But now almost worth nothing. I'm planning to terminate the card soon, although my HSBC card has the highest credit limits among other cards.

i saw the highest rebate in the market now is hsbc amanah ..
but i saw some forumers here are putting the plat cc with only 3000 credit limit , how do you ever get the credit card with plat in such CL ?

i have apply since about 2 month ago for signature but rejected ..
in the same time i do not show any of my document , just over some kiosk sign up and go ..but the result is failed.

even i have 1200epf amonth ..i registered a card with a requirement 30k. a year credit such like citibank also failed . do anyone know why ?

somehow all my credit limit is 25k n abv.
my average 3 month swipe is 18-30k.. highest ever is 75k. avegare of 6 month uptodate this month . from july .total about 180k.
in order my record is all online in my standard chartered , amex , mbb.

anyone know , what is the credit easiest to apply .. i headache to apply and failed.. they ask me not to continue apply , have to wait another 3 month ..anyone banker can help ?

Those people were previously holding a HSBC Gold VISA. When HSBC phased out the Classic credit card, classic credit card holder was all upgraded to gold card while gold to platinum.

You don't need to be a director to be eligible for HSBC Premier World MasterCard. Just deposit RM200k into your HSBC account and that's it. Tell your RM you want the card and he/she will get it for you.

Yes. I just got 10% discount at Times bookstore with my amanah plat last weekend. Usually bank discounts are applicable no matter islamic financing or not

Dear all HSBC Amanah credit card holders,

please take note, there is a credit card insurance applied by default on your card under the description of

TAKAFUL CARDS PROTECTOR

Please go and call the call centre to cancel it because I got charged RM39.56 for no good reason. There goes all my cashback for spending RM6k this month. Seriously pissing me off..

If you want to know what is it about
https://www.hsbcamanah.com.my/1/2/amanah/pe...cards-protector

its basically another hidden insurance policy enforced on the credit cardholder by default.

foreign banks love to 'cheat' our money.. Even citibank charges the credit shield plan on the first statement.

Just call HSBC to issue you a credit of the amount charged.

Thank you for sharing above. How can HSBC do such a thing. When was the amount charged to your card i.e. how long after you were issued the card?

Not true. Go to any HSBC branch to get a new application form for any of their credit card, you'll see that HSBC does need your consent for this CPP. If you agree to be protected by the CPP, you will need to put your signature on the application form twice.

HSBC doesn't forcefully enforce this CPP and so does Citibank. Did you apply for your Citibank credit card through an agent ? I believe he asked you to sign twice and you did not notice one of them is for this CPP stuff. I applied for my first Citibank credit card in October last year and i was not charged for this CPP.

It's not HSBC's fault. It happened due to his own negligence sweat.gif
