you mean the weekend rebate rights?

it just says merchant registered under dining. it doesn't list out the restaurants.

Ya, that's the problem. Then how they expect us to know which one is applicable.

Well, under t&c, it says as long as it’s categorised as Dining in the merchant category code.

So, maybe you can take other bank as a proxy. They should have a few merchant code for dining, but hsbc didn’t list out the merchant codes. Can use PB Visa Signature thread and OCBC Titanium MC thread as a guide. Cause ronnie compiles the list. You can start from there.

Can’t help much since I don’t personally have this card.

I got my card today which I would have expected though. I don't think I'm still eligible for the Huawei tablet, not sure if I still want to keep it.

Still thinking to keep this or UOB One Plat? hmm.gif

Keep HSBC... nod.gif

HSBC Amanah Plat. CC now more like Our MBB 2 Amex with,
5 or 8% Cash Back on Petrol, Groceries & Dining Spend Made during Weekends Which can Earn Us Cash Rebates Up to RM100 / month
(5% Cash-Back with Total Monthly Spend of $2000 & Below, 8% Cash-Back on Total Monthly Spend of $2001 & Above)

the Card also Good as a Spare to MBB 2 Amex for Our Weekends Spent On... thumbup.gif

As currently now the UOB 1 Card 5% Petrol cash-back is NOT a Guarantee... with the Max. Monthly Cash Rebate Payout just RM900,000 Only as the quota maybe gone by middle of the month, it really Piss ME Off... vmad.gif

Plus, HSBC Card is Lifetime Fee Waiver with just 12x Swipes/Year, if Compare to UOB We Need to Call in to put a Request or with an Accumulative Spend of RM36K per Annum to qualify for Auto-Annual Fee Waiver sweat.gif

Thanks for the information. I just terminated my UOB Preferred Plat last night. Now will proceed for UOB One Plat.
You are right, HSBC Amanah is good to complement my AmEx but too bad the 5% and 8% doesn't applicable for overseas swipes. sad.gif

HSBC is cheaper but I am using VISA
when i call them and ask, they explain that they are using their own conversion rate which is higher and not following VISA or Master
btw, OCBC charge 1.25% for conversion fees while HSBC charge 1%

anyone else mind to share for HSBC overseas usage?

Thanks for the information. biggrin.gif

By the way, do I need to call HSBC to inform them I'll be using it overseas? I remembered calling Maybank, OCBC and UOB, for UOB I even needed to specify duration and it will be closed for overseas transaction after I'm back. sweat.gif
I supposed HSBC doesn't require right? laugh.gif
Last question, I added my HSBC Amanah as my favourite IBG in M2U. I cannot see any HSBC Amanah, so I just chose HSBC, it can be used right? I thought they are two different entities? unsure.gif
