Seems like a lot of people also facing the auto reboot + shut down problem for optimus 2x sad.gif

Some said its the rom problem. Forumers at xda-developers beg to differ. They have tried custom roms etc and all of it auto shutdown etc..

What a real turn off. Was ready to buy it only to find such a big flaw sad.gif

I'm currently observing.. Out of 10 owners, how many of them have the auto reboot + shutdown issue? seems to be a problem world wide.

@Iceman31 or any forumer
Sorry i'm extremely extremely new to using custom roms and everything. Would you mind guiding me ?

I think the guide at the front page would suffice for rooting. My problem now is how to install a custom rom into my phone? What should I do?

I'm downloading 19.5.11_Modacco_FR17_FearEdition10 right now. What should I do after that assuming I have rooted? What are basebands etc? Do I need to install those also before I install the custom rom in? Thank you so much in advanced.

Is it mandatory to flash kernel and baseband also afterflashing rom? I noticed modacco fr17 needs to flash in the latest baseband?

Can you comment that the v10d actually fixes the auto-reboot / shut down for the optimus 2x? Otherwise i'm going to have to get warranty on my phone.

Added on June 8, 2011, 10:43 amcurrently running on v10b stock rom..

I exchanged my phone with a new one already and totally no shut down issues as of now (its been 6 hours ++ a combination of leaving it idle + using it and then idle again).

This phone is awesome.. going to look into flashing custom roms during the weekend muahaha biggrin.gif

Sorry for late reply..
My previous phone got SOD about 8 times over the period of 30 hours. So yea that sucks.

My replacement was within a day (but this is because the seller came to my doorstep and gave me 1 to 1 exchange.. A real awesome seller.. his lyn nick is alieamin). Up till now still no problems with it.

I would suggest whoever that has SOD, please go get your warranty.

Hi All,

Could you all please recommend me which custom ROM should I flash in based on the below? Need some real feedback from people that have actually flashed it in.

Modacco: Running on Froyo 2.2 (any problems? Got auto shutdown? stable?)
Cynogen CM7: Running on Gingerbread 2.3 (Any problems? Got auto shutdown? stable?)

Or any other ROM to recommend to me? If you do recommend, please provide me more feedback on why its recommended if possible. Thank you so much ! smile.gif

Anybody using MCR f17 ?

Noticed many people complain (in xda forums) about battery consumption and the phone barely last a day on light usage..

Anyone has this problem so far?

@Heavencloud

Can state how long your battery last? You are a heavy/moderate/light user? Data on all the time or only when you need it? Thanks smile.gif

I just flashed in MCR fr17 Fear Kill edition.

Now my APNdroid widget (to disable connectivity) doesnt work despite me downloading it again (via market).

Any other widgets that can be used to disable data? very tiring to go into settings and disable/enable it when i need it sad.gif
