Why cant i get optimus 2x from celcom branch? They said no purchase/new rgistration upon all phone except iphone.. any can help me?

Im about to get this phone either tomorrow or monday. I have a few questions to ask. It is also my first smartphone.
1) I like HTC's widgets design, can I also have it on the O2X? or its exclusively for HTC only?
2) Is the battery life good? I never had a smartphone before, so i dont know how to compare but my brother has a 3gs , is it better than that ?
3) Is it worth to install custom ROM for the phone? Since i heard it voids the warranty.

1) there are apps that you can download to make ur interface looks like htc's.
2)confirm better than 3gs maybe 4g is slightly better than o2x.
3)you can retrieve to stock rom, no worry

1.HTC's widgets is from HTC own UI named HTC Sense.
Its beauty and usefulness is popular among manufacturer custom android UIs.
However, you can have some beautiful clock/weather widgets on this phone too.
Just get the 'Beautiful Widgets' from Android Market and you're set

2.The battery life is depend on your usage, 3G network consumes battery faster and make the phone hotter.
Excessive gaming/video playback also consumes a lot of battery.
Other than that, casual net surfing, music playback, texting, calling is not a problem.

3.Custom ROM improve lots of performance and you can even tweak it with your likings.
However, Stock ROM is not encouraged (unless you're on V10C or V10D)
There're few custom Roms now:
MoDaCo Custom ROM. [Various changes and improvements]
MoDaCo Vanilla Custom ROM [Everything is almost like a pure Google phone..]
Cyanogen Mod 7.1 Nightly #5 (Experimental Mod- Not recommended, but it's runnning the latest Android v2.3.4 and it's the most popular custom ROM of Android, I recommend you to wait until its stable release, you'll love it )

G2X is T-Mobile version of Optimus 2X.
Both of them have the almost identical hardware specifications but the software inside has a bit different.

You mean stock apps ? Yes.
You can either uninstall them one by one yourself or just flash to MoDaCo Vanilla custom ROM

1) No white colour for o2x
2) Good . Can Last whole day for me .
3) U can install the rom . if u want to send to warrant just unroot it back .

Hmm, how do i backup my installed apps and games if my phone not rooted? I think titanium backup is only for rooted phone, isnt it?

yeah.. went to bluecube but no o2x there.. move to celcom centre..
the staff said HQ told to hold all phone purchase or registration for new plan except iphone4..
he said the plan package on celcom site already expired by end of April.. so he cant do anything bout that..
then i go to next shop (beside celcom centre) then ask bout phone overthere n how to register postpaid..
but then he refer me to celcom centre as they're only reseller..
i told them that even celcom centre cant do any rgistration other than iphone4..
they said that celcom branch only launch iphone4 package yesterday (friday) and all staff hav to come..
so today (saturday) probably the staff for BB, Nokia, LG, Samsung etc take offday..
thats why the staff (iphone staff) before cant register for other phone..

but i need to make sure of this.. as tonight i will go to seremban.. so will stay for days..
if all branch is same.. no point i aim for o2x anymore.. gonna aim for others..
if i can confirm this with celcom HQ.. will make things easier..

I just find that HTC's UI quite interesting, but maybe that will change when i get o2x.
