Wow, I don't have a Symbian^3 device to play the score

went to a friend home today, got sony bravia hdtv and hdmi cable

wanna try n8 hdmi, put on the nokia adapter, connect to hdmi cable switch to hdmi input channel aaaaaaaand NOTHING......

any idea what did i skip, is there connection wizard or something?

Try switching the TV to HDMI mode first before plugging the cable in to the N8. Or unplug and plug again it should make the N8 detect that it's supposed to output to the HDMI port.

I just plug in ready then switch the HDMI channel walla done

tried, still nothing.

just now i try plug my lappy with hdmi to the tv, nothing too. wonder now if its the cable or the tv >.<

Should have a few HDMI input right?

Btw those from PJ can car pool with me n botak if u r interested because this sunday is PC fair so expect massive jam and no car park. And also super high parking rates.
Or can also jam pack like sardine in lrt

OK, I've come up a test method for anyone who might interested to try on regarding the camera apps error fix:

01. Uninstall ANY mods that's installed in your devices (included all those cenrep mods from others modder).

02. Reboot the device.

03. Install the v7.00 with EXACTLY below selections (please take note this ONLY VALID for N8 owners, others S^3 devices owners DO NOT try this)
- 01. KS Type A Improvement
- 03. UI Improvement
- 04. Camera Sound Mute
- 05. N8 Continuous AutoFocus
- 09. N8 Pic/Vid (095/30FPS)
- 27. Increase Context Data Object Maximum Size
- 31. Camera Full Shutdown (RAM)
- 37. Fast Screen Rotation
- 43. Database Max Record Count
- 44. HWRM Process Priority
- 51. Camera Digital Zoom
- 56. Popup UI Improvement

04. Reboot the device.

05. Straight start up the camera apps when the device JUST restarted (expected to see the camera apps error)

06. Close the camera apps (if you success startup the camera apps without error in step 5 then conglatulation)

07. Now surf through ALL your HS 1 by 1 (every HS left it alone for a few second for all the widget to load up)

08. Open the MENU and scroll all the way until it's smooth (ensure all system cache are done)

09. Rotate your device to ensure the phone are all ready.

10. Wait another 5 mins WITH scroll through all your HS 1 by 1 to fully ensure all startup services/apps are running.

11. NOW put your device in VERTICAL (portrait mode) AND start the camera apps again.

12. TADA!! if you are like me then you should get the camera apps are started and running in no time.

Suggest you park outside town and take the LRT there early morning about 9am or so. Otherwise by the end of the event, you might have a problem just trying to leave the car park itself.

Actually i'm more worried bout leaving the event
PC fair crowd at the LRT is horrible and it'll never reduce till 9pm. Waiting to buy the tix and boarding the lrt alone is hell
I rather drive because it's proven to be more convenient and faster than lrt. Moreover I'll park at Menara UOA there and walk to klcc.
Parking there is less than RM10 full day
